what is an ability queue system in this context? Are you referring to being able to queue up a sequence of events before or during combat and they automatically execute when it's their turn, or something?

It's possible to press the button for the next ability up to about a second before GCD expires and have that ability execute the moment it's available. However this does not seem to work in all cases. In particular when applying two buffs or off-GCD abilities in quick succession it seems there's no queue slot for executing a GCD ability afterwards.

Huh. I never noticed that. I'll have to watch for that on the practice dummies sometime. Mostly I'm too busy watching mechanics or thinking about the next part of my rotation to notice little things like that. Thank you kindly for the clarification!
