WHM healer: -Casts Medica II before a pull two seconds later-
Me: -Clenches eyes tight and internally cringes-
WHM healer: -Keeps casting Medica II when no one but the tank is taking damage instead of just using a regular cure-
Me: -Can't take it any more- Please stop spamming Medica II
Tank: You're not a healer, leave him alone
Me: -Has mained healing for the past 6 years; first two years being as a WHM main, last four being an AST main- ... :| -Opens mouth- ... -Closes mouth- ... :| -Tries to calm jets-
WHM Healer: -CONTINUES TO SPAM MEDICA II-
Me: Okay, I'm just leaving and endure the 30m penalty because that is better than having to deal with this crap.

I don't even know why it tilted me so much honestly. Yes, it's annoying (and yes, Medica II has the worst sound effects, I swear), but like... I need to chill out man. xD But man. Don't. Don't spam Medica II like that. If it's just your tank taking damage, only pop on a regen, throw some cures, maybe some stones if you got the downtime and are bored enough to spam Medica II... And if your entire team needs a little bit of the heals, just do regular Medica (preferably when they're missing more than just 1% of their HP) during small pulls where people aren't taking consistent damage. There's no regen on it... For real. Just stahp. XD And... learn your other healing tools. Please and thank you. We've got a lot now. Use them.

P.S. Don't assume your DPS (or even tanks) aren't healers as well. :| Because at this point, chances are, they are healers working on alt classes or were healers until 5.0 :|

So I did a bad thing D:

I just dusted off my level 52 WAR after a few years of ignoring it and queued up for alliance roulette with my friend. So we get into Syrcus Tower, I say my hellos, and only then do I realize that this is my weapon:


I was absolutely horrified and quickly discovered I didn't have any sort of a replacement weapon on me. D: I did offer to drop, but the party was OK with me staying. Got called out a bit later in Alliance chat for ilvl dropping (can't really do much with that at level 52...), so had to offer a quick explanation there as well. Oy.

I know it's only ST, but I do try to not be a burden to my groups when I can help it. Kudos to my party for being understanding! D:

(I do now have a proper axe though!).

I pop Medica II before most post-60 dungeon bosses because almost all of them have party-wide attacks, I have no faith in the DPS to dodge orange, and regen on everyone means I can spend more time DPSing and less time wanting to babysit health bars because I have anxiety (see: previous point on not having faith in DPS).

Is that the wrong thing to do? Probably, but I don't really care. You're never going to see me in savage content or anything other than casual dungeons so... deal with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You, I like you, despite hoping we would never be in the same party. You're honest to yourself, that already makes you a better player than those who also rarely/never do savage content but always argue like they are pro at them.

PSA to White mages who spend their entire mp bar on holy spamming...presence of mind + Thin air. works great and i do it frequently unless i get the suspicion ima be babysitting during fights later.

Nothing says 'Fun" like 10 free holy casts.

Haukke Manor first time run on another alt (I have 3 so far) and I land a fairly competent party: DRG, CNJ, ACN, and me as WAR. I kick things off with a big pull because Haukke Manor, promptly get us all lost, and then die to poison because my healer doesn't know how to cast Esuna. And yes, I did use my mitigations (rampart and thrill of battle) and still died. I took it easy from then on, but the DRG seemed to think he could tank. He certainly tanked the floor well enough when he took the long way back to the starting point despite the CNJ telling him to use Return. Maybe using auto-translate would have helped, I dunno. It was a silly run and I made many a mistake, but we finished it all the same. And surprisingly, I got a commendation out of it!

Got yelled at for fettering Cerberus 'early' today. Yeah the free DPS uptime is nice. But given how many alliances I've been in where people actively don't realize he should eventually be fettered it's kinda a programmed response for me now to see an empty chain and attach it. Much like going into the belly even if I'm not in B, because even when I'm in B I often have to shout in Alliance chat to get the rest of my party to actually do their jobs. So I do apologize for the hassle but if you're going to do the long fetter, maaaaaybe tell the Alliance? Since it really isn't standard in most runs I've been in these days given how little it actually matters.

I had this gem of a SCH today in Rabanastre that was desperate to blame me for their own derp. It happened on Hashmal when they were on the wrong side for the glowing arm mechanic, so I used Rescue but my rescue ended up being late and he took the dot damage anyway.

SCH: ......
Me: You were on the wrong side.
SCH: That was the safe side.
Me: No, it wasn't. You have the dot, I don't.

I assumed this would have been the end of it. They waited until the raid was done to quickly say, "Please don't use rescue if you don't know how to use it. Kthanx." And then quickly left before I could respond. Because of course they did.

He seriously didn't understand that if I did rescue him to the wrong side we would have both had the dot, and so would nearly everyone else that did the mechanic correctly by standing on the same side I was on.

I have done countless runs through WoD, and I have never seen anyone mention delaying the fetter mechanic. So this is news to me. lol
