I didn't play GNB up until recently so I have no idea what the original sounds were like. How much of a difference is there?

I've leveled GNB on two of my alts and I didn't notice anything wrong. I've just started leveling it on my main. Don't know if it's a racial issue as some races seem to have different sounds.
ShB ast card system is like Bow mage there are enough people on both sides that SE have no clue what to do, so they taken the stance of small tweaks and most likely do another overhaul come 6.0 whether a new overhaul will be as welcomed as 4.0 brd was we will have to find out.

This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.

/sigh for the over9000th time in GNB main/
Honestly, something tells me that if there wasn't that mistake with audio files, no one would even care about GNB sounds to begin with. I also suspect that if not for specific line "audio were replaced" in patch notes, a lot of people wouldn't even notice the change because they pay 0 attention to skills sounds.
Skills themselves should have the same sound on every race and gender, I think.

Whilst not comparable issues nor necessarily the work comparable either, but in fairness, acknowledging the problem/complaint/issues and clarifying one of the following: "we'll look into it", "we'll do something about it" or "we'll do nothing about it" would go some way. At least they said 'no' for the card changes, and with that said, they have reverse decisions they said were "fine" before, like issues Machinist had or bow mage and I expect that's why people are still complaining about cards, in hope SE change their mind.
But the crux of the problems people have been complaining healers overall? Not a word.
I think the lack of communication is where the biggest frustration is. Because if it's a "no", then we know either to give up or what to focus on with our feedback (like MCH's did), if it's a "we'll look into it", whilst still in limbo, we at least know they have the difficult task of decided how or if they're address it and what feedback to take on, because there are different views on how healers should play and if "we'll do something about it", then good news and we just wait and see, maybe throwing feedback into the mix.
And communication doesn't use up a lot of resource.
It isn't even a case where the development team need to acknowledge various issues themselves. Simply having a community representative reassure us that feedback on a particular issue has been passed on would do a world of good. Yet it's rare to see them post around these parts these days and they seem to have their hands tied running the FFXIV Twitter and Facebook pages as well as running screenshot contests and the like.
There's a number of recent threads highlighting genuine issues about the game that are deserving of official acknowledgement, such as EU players being denied the opportunity to acquire a Black Fat Chocobo. It's worrying to me that something like that hasn't been addressed yet.

This is a bit obtuse.
1 thing is a glam gear ... the other is balancing a job which effects the standing of 2 other jobs. Nothing in common.
What happened was that, for w/e reason, the gear wasn't QAed as well as they would have liked and was sent live without flags being put in place to prevent clipping. They got bug reports from some people about clipping in sit positions with some races on a tiny hand full of tops and flipped the flags on. But the flags are set that way to prevent clipping with skirts so what happened was that the design of the ass was then ruined for most any top it logically should work with and limited to only working with a few other then bras. The point of the ass was to give people a big butt option.
So they know they need to rework how the game categorizes tops which is what they're doing in the meantime. TBH I think that they plan to make more butts with the 2B butt model and that is part of the reasoning behind this. And who knows, perhaps it will effect the freedom of other bottoms that are more limited than people would like.
And this is all after they goofed up with the transparent parts of the 2B dress. I'm not sure if they had a bug that made it assume the same skin tone all the time or if it just wasn't programmed to BE transparent in 5.1 at first, but it was really noticable on any characters that weren't a fairly pale caucasion skin tone. Glad they got this fixed. This is a bit obtuse.

All they did was revert the change they made to the 2b outfit, so it was apparently a simple process. Fixing and balancing jobs, however, is not so simple. That said, I feel that they have been giving healers the finger since launch, so I can understand why some are frustrated.
