Much Needed Hotfix for Frontline PVP.

The survival of this mode has little to do with how good or bad it is, ultimately. What makes the frontline modes more or less successful is the easy availability with a roulette, short queuing times, long-term mount farming and very decent rewards (tomes, pvp currency, exp). Of course, some people just enjoy pvp. But most need a bait to get into it. Rival Wings would probably be just as popular as frontline if we had a Rival Wings Roulette that rotates the maps, same way than the frontline rou rotated modes. I wager that's what will happen, either that or it'll be added to frontline rous once GC affiliations have been canned.

That said, I am at a loss for word that there are people even trying to defend what is currently happening in frontline. That a specific number of players are exploiting a loophole in the system to ensure victory is the very definition of what cheating is. If the developers had intended for pre-made 24-men alliances to be a factor in frontline, they would let people queue as such. Clearly, they never intended for that. Essentially, what we're seeing right now is the equivalent of a professional team rigging the system to play against a team of amateurs and then trying to justify that what they did is fair play. It's not.

Any competent and respectable player, in any sport, esport or pvp environment, would look down upon such practices and the people doing it. A victory against your equals is something to be celebrated. Setting the game field so all the experienced players can stomp over the less experienced players is nothing short of pathetic.

PVP players often mourn that pvp is unpopular in FF14. That not enough people play it, that queues take forever. If you're participating in the current frontline disaster, you only need look at yourself as to why FF14 players dislike pvp. You make the experience miserable for everyone.

That just sounds like people who cannot handle losing and probably shouldn't be PVPing in the first place. There will usually always be someone better than you in something, all you can do is learn and get better. Unfortunately the majority are those who cry about things till SE nerfs it into the ground rather than improving.

Cool dude, then all the premade players can have fun once everyone else who doesn't sweat as hard as them has left this flawed mode that deserves to die. Me and my couple friends who play FL and Feast are mechanically good players who make intelligent callouts and have the map open. I guess you could say we're midcore pvp. It has nothing to do with players being bad. You're acting like the people who stack premades are winning on PURE SKILL AND INTELLECT as if everyone not playing that way is bumbling around with their abilities+objectives priority. If anything the real booster that theoretically helps bad players do better is getting in a discord call just so they can stomp FL.

And I really feel for the devs and this isn't meant to be a shot at them. The community that queues for this is a skeleton crew, so other competitive games don't suffer from this. When I duo queue for League with one friend, I can expect the enemy team to not be queued as 3, 4, or 5. Could you imagine? Because that's what you're protecting in FL.

It is your best interest to not post it on JP forum for a self humiliation because they don’t have issue with whatever is bothering you. Your problem is not lacking skill but rather lacking of PvP common, lack the understanding of what this mode is about and most of important, lack of situation awareness.

Asking to put everyone on freelancer mode is not asking for a resolution, it is you are hoping to be carry by the veterans. Bidding the odds on the randomness instead of improving yourself.

Imagine being dumb enough to think that going out of your way to seek out a Discord of tryhard FL players to queue sync with them ISN'T "getting carried by veterans", but asking for a fair FL experience is.

Was the discord thing a problem before they forced light parties and removed 24 mode? If not, this could be a backlash.

At any case, this shows how bad of an idea the whole GC-tied teams was. One of the reasoning behind it, if I'm not mistaken, was to avoid this kind of crap: matchfixing. Instead, now, there is a big "loophole" players can exploit exactly because the teams are GC tied.

If they really wanted teams to be GC tied, they should have gone all the way. Pick a GC, and you can never change, or at least make it extremely costly to change (perhaps 1 free change tho to not be completely unfair). But SE didn't do this. They made freelance instead. Which is cool, but to truly "fix" these discord-type problems, they need to at least remove GC restrictions, or force freelance.

SE needs to restore 24 man mode and full parties. They are asking for crap like this to happen it seems to me.

Don't get me wrong, I was all for the 8man stomp back when you could pack a full party in as a premade, but after it changed:


Even if I could GC hop, I couldn't justify doing this lol. It's gribbly as heck deliberately circumventing the changes and queue syncing to farm wins, this is why people wont play lol.

Being honest would have considered it, I'm originally Flames and a lot of my mates or people that I like playing with are there. But I still wouldn't have done it because why bother when I can freelance and get flames anyway. I'm also already R50 on Flames and have been for years so wouldn't really gain much by switching. Plus - Yori Hisa would kill me.

But premades are disgusting you're an actual gribbly if you queue sync. Only thing worse than that is people who duo q training Feast for any reason other than sick 20m exp an hour gains.

Same tbh if i had switched to Adders i would prolly had the mount by now im 60 wins and most of my matches are Solo Q with freelancer id never gotten into Adders when solo Q as a freelancer since its packed with ppl trying to get on their team.

Force Freelancer status on everyone to make games more even, because right now players
are abusing solo Q to get into the same Grand Company team on EU its Adders and just steam rolling other teams to get 10 players with Battle High and just winning the game.

They have Linkshells / Discords for setting this up.
You basicly make players Solo Que up at the same time "without" Freelance status set as Adders for example forcing you to get into the same team.
So unless they hotfix it and make it Force "Freelance" there is going to be unbalance and you need to make your own Organized alliance and cheese it the same way.

This is making PVP boring and alot of players might quit the mode because how unfair it is.

So I have you to blame for this forced frontline freelancer BS thanks for ruining it for players who enjoy playing as their grand company.
