yes, I did all new arenas with dps stance too and they were so hard that most players who you meet using duty finder simply cannot clear them and that is fine too, not all content is for everybody.Harder, but not undoable. I finished the fight with dps stance and no primal spells at all. Just white wind and mana management - pretty much used lucid on cooldown once I was well enough into the fight to need to be healing myself. Had plenty to cast diamondback for the second big splash, and only a few more hits were needed after that for the boss to die.
The fight isn't a walk in the park to be sure, but it can be done. Definitely not hard enough to really need a nerf, I don't think - though I will say I'm not too much a fan of our res being locked behind it, even so. I'd probably not have bothered if it wasn't.
@OP, if one way of doing it isn't working, maybe try something different. Different stance, different hotbar layout, different UI setup... whatever works for you.
If the content is not for everyone, then they shouldn't gate necessity spells behind it. I have no problem with regular BLU parties and Blue Mage has always been one of my favorite jobs in FF.
I have no idea what this is even meant to imply.

you don't need revive for anything and if you can't clear the story mode you have no business doing savage fights with bluemages.
You kinda need revive if you want to keep the party from wiping and starting over, even in normal content.
CNJ/WHM, AST, ACN, SCH, SMN, and RDM don't have their rezzes locked behind annoyingly difficult solo duties. Angel Whisper works the exact same way, yet has a ridiculously long cooldown and requires the completion of all 30 Masked Carnivale fights to obtain. It almost isn't worth the trouble.
Furthermore, you don't need to complete all of them to clear story mode, just round 20 for lvl 50 and round 30 for 60.
BLU party content is challenge content. If you want to do, .e.g., Alexander Savage with BLU, everyone should
1) already know the fight, as executed by a standard job party composition
and
2a) know how to handle the fight as a BLU party
or 2b) be prepared to wipe and then get it right the next time
People shouldn't be doing those fights on BLU if they can't already survive them as a real job. Do the learning on a different job, then apply the knowledge to BLU. Accordingly, raise is not something you should need or rely on in a BLU party.

The fights are honestly easier on BLU then with real jobs in a lot of ways, mostly due to White Wind being ridiculously strong and Mighty Guard/Diamondback making healing checks easier and letting you just cheese other problematic mechanics.
The only thing BLU struggles with is tanking as they're too squishy to take more then auto-attacks without Diamondback.
