What was your most embarrassing ingame moment?

My bf and I were in Orbonne Monastery as healers. I was SCH. The heal check is usually really simple. Put up some shields when there is no add to attack, use some oGCDs when the add is up and so on. We never had to heal much there if done right.

During the run we did really well during everything up until that point. But in that heal check we had a small lag spike. We were both dpsing that add as I said I'm using Indomitability. I pressed the button, it went on CD but the heal didn't get through. As we noticed it it was too late, our GCD heals were too slow and all DPS died. They all started to whine and complain and say things like "Omg healers!!! You know you have to heal!!!??", completely forgetting how we weren't bad before. We even apologized. It was sooo embarrassing.

Aside from a handful of moments where I back-flipped off of the arena as a DRG or RDM? ..

Lol yeah that's just so normal anymore. That and...
Corps'aCorps right into a nasty AoE... splat.
Dragon Dive ... splat.

Its just habit after a while in your rotation to do that, and I think those types of things have killed just about everyone before.

I haven't been able to play much the last couple days since my ISP was having issues and way too much lag, but I did manage to play one Weeping City of Mhach, and sure enough at Osma managed to Displace right off the back just out of habit.

I tend to derp on newer content and accept a rez at the worst times. It usually goes "oh no I died. Thanks for the raise and I'm dead again." Doesn't help that this tends to happen when I'm a healer myself.

Oh I've had plenty of embarrassing moments. I remember a couple years ago when I was still a noob sprout going through the MSQ, I was doing Titan Hard for the story the first time as my newly-acquired RDM, thought I had enough room to backflip with Displacement, jumped and touched my toes on the ledge before the game decided I was too far out to run forward and fell to my death. Also, I was doing my weekly run of E3S a couple weeks back as DRG. I had a Dive ready for the double diagonal water blasts ("pop-tarts" as my static calls those), after the Smokers. It started close to the boss on my side, so after I ran out to avoid it, I was poised to simply jump at him before the second went off. Unfortunately due to the angle, I landed just close enough to the edge to invoke the image of me slipping off the side of a pool, and I again fell to my death as "Mmmm Whatcha Say" played out in my mind. We still got the kill, and everyone else got a laugh out of it, but it made me very sad since I felt like I was doing pretty well up to that point.

Oof oh Boy. Once I figured out that the party shares the LB i was embarrassed retroactively. I would just do it every time without even thinking.

AND I had the habit of doing it when the boss was invulnerable. So not only did I "steal" it, I wasted it.

Last boss Dun Scaith. Half of my party was dead mostly due to the balls that follow three players. Healer lb3 was up so I used it in the middle of the arena. It reached zero of the four dead players. Nobody said anything but it was embarrassing af. Well, I’ve learned my lesson to always position myself properly for healer lb3s <.<

When ARR first started people said to turn on all languages for faster queue times. So, I did that and got into my first Copperbell Mines run ever with three players that were speaking French. We got to the second boss and I didn't know the mechanics so I kept killing the bombs, and they were all yelling at me but I couldn't understand what they were saying.

I don't remember when or where exactly, but I once used Tank LB accidentally during a dungeon. The others called me out on it but we didn't wipe at all throughout the dungeon so all in all, I think it went well in spite of my finger slipping lol.
