Titan normal from leveling roulette on my DNC. The other dps was in the gaol and i broke him out just in time for landslide to go off.
I'm still wheezing.

:V Decide to do trial roulette on my alt for a bit of EXP. Get Ravana hard.
The other healer is standing in the wrong spot for slaughter, so I rescue them in to the safe spot.
What do they do? Thank me for saving them for a dumb decision on their part? No, they run back out of the safe spot, get hit, and rescue me out with them. I didn't get hit since it went off after their stupid rescue.
I don't understand the pettiness when they were there one in the wrong.

I just did normal Hades and nobody thought they should dodge any AOEs whatsoever. Did you know, that if you wipe in phase two, you start again in phase 2? I didn't.
We wiped because everybody stood on the aoe marker for the aetherial gaol and nobody could damage the orb. People were just like "what happened there?"
And I, having had enough of the BS today, said flatly: "We died because y'all don't know how to avoid aoe markers"
Someone else was like "We have new people you know... tard"
I, reaching peak levels of tired-of-this-sh*t, retorted: "You're not all new, and dodging aoes is DAY ONE STUFF"
We proceeded to wipe again because nobody got into the doom circles... Then we cleared it because everyone decided to get it together.
To die to non-telegraphed attacks is forgivable, people don't know what to look out for yet. But to die to telegraphed mechanics we've been seeing since Sastasha is unacceptable.

Oh... and if you're doing an Expert Roulette...
DON'T bring your brand new gotta try it out for the first time character. I went in as SMN on an Expert run on Amaurot... with I swear a newbie to DRK, I had mobs all over my face the entire time I was going through it, me and the BLM both. It is beyond me you could get to 80th and not know how to control multiple mob agro, nor even try to get control of it. And Amaurot is one of those dungeons where it just throws mobs at you like its going out of style. Even one of the Bosses you get spammed with Mobs.
That is no place for a Tank that has not yet learned to control packs of mobs.
I ran another one with an SCH who did not seem to understand that you use Adlo and Succor to stop the pain and THEN you use your heals after that. And yeah Succor is a thing you know. You Succor... then hit Indomitably to mass heal people after the Room Wide AoEs. Because your stuff isn't strong enough alone. So you combo it with Adlo or Succor. And yeah you do need to heal the DPS too when that happens. I cannot cover the entire floor as an RDM... only you can do that as a Healer.

That reminded me of the grand cosmos run I had yesterday. The WHM cared so much about DPSing that she slacked off on even healing herself and ended up dying to unavoidable damage. That was some serious irony if I ever saw it.
Tbh I can usually count the amount of Succor/ Adlo I use during an entire run on one hand.I ran another one with an SCH who did not seem to understand that you use Adlo and Succor to stop the pain and THEN you use your heals after that. It's something I use when other options are exhausted or it's clear they won't suffice for long because vuln up stacks are pokemon/ tank is a wibbly wobbly wet noodle coupled with poor group dps. But there's no need for pre-shielding mid-fight and my oGCDs and fairy/ seraph skills take care of everything. SCH oGCDs are insanely strong. Even on the 1st boss in Twinning I can't remember ever resorting to Adlo/ Succor and imho that's the expert boss with the highest party-wide damage (two different marks, two stack marks in succession, regular room-wide aoe).
The Twinning, me on DRK, a WHM, SAM and a BLM. Nothing unusual at first, but I noticed that trash was dying slowly.
WHM was spaming aoe alright - holy made my TBN never proc :/ - SAM was doing well, both buffs up, and doing aoe, too... then I look at the BLM, and they were at >50% mana all the time, and using Blizzard IV trice while there were at least 3 mobs left. I asked them why they spamed that spell, no response. I waited a bit before I pulled boss, but still no answer, even after a few more '???'. They also never used Umbal Soul, so rip ice stacks. Other DPS thought of a bot. Well, we kill the boss (still slow, no thunder from BLM btw). Pull next trash, and I see them never falling under 50% mana and using Fire II for aoe, and multiple Freezes in succession. We rolled on loot and kicked them as they 'decided' to remain silent. Got a BRD and had a good run after that + a few laughs from what happened.
I think that was actually the first time I had a bot in my party... then again the line between silent, underperforming players and bots is thin.

Reminds me of this Rabanastre raid I had a couple of weeks back where I queued as tank and we wiped to Mateus because apparently, adds are a good thing to keep alive on the field and so are the ice fairy?/sprites? that popped later. After pointing that out, I get the "no one explained mechs" line from somebody, to which I promptly responded that if I have to explain in a lvl 70 raid the basics of killing adds, we in big trouble. Someone else chimed in agreement, other person replied that "we did not provide the encouraging environment for people to learn".I just did normal Hades and nobody thought they should dodge any AOEs whatsoever. Did you know, that if you wipe in phase two, you start again in phase 2? I didn't.

I think my brain flapjacked itself after reading. I ended my side of the convo by saying "Now I know you're overreaching" and just focused solely on the raid, explaining only the remaining obscure mechs.
But holy moley, I didn't know I had to hand hold people a la Mr.Rogers for KILLING ADDS of all things in a lvl 70 raid. Oof
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
