Is it no longer possible to farm the Tank Mounts solo?

I am not a tank main and have no idea what my own progress is towards any of those mounts, but I always figured that 'undersized parties' wouldn't count. That is pure assumption though. Everyone I know with a tank mount tanks everything from dungeons to at least EX trials in synced content.

You could just farm Garuda back in stormblood. I almost have both of my warrior mounts. Gunbreaker dungeons should count towards both mounts, the other tanks EX farming is probably one of the better ways nowadays.

Next time I log in I might try some Garuda again and see if it still counts towards the unarmored bear mount. You could kill her in like 30 seconds in Stormblood, people would put up party finders for tank mount farm.

This is striking me as an entitled cry for a free mount without understanding why the incentive was added in the first place.

Or, maybe, I just wanted to do something while there is nothing else for me to do since PvP is unplayable. Think of that, one has to do 900 dungeons to get the Mounts.
So no, I'm not crying because I want to pretend that I have tanked 900 or more dungeons. I just want something to do when I'm bored and alone.

That's fine. But if the requirements have changed you will need to adapt.

LOL, it's a reward for tanking in a group. Why else do you think only tanks get it.

I had 14 clears, did The Sirensong Sea with undersized party option solo and now I have 15. Nothing states that I can't do lv.61 and above dungeons solo. So where's the exploit?

I had 18 and still 18 after The Sirensong Sea solo. Seems like the achievement is working as intended.

Yeah, if nothing is broken then it looks like garuda extreme should still count as a high end duty. I haven't done it since stormblood, but I have been meaning to do Garuda Extreme for that achievement for awhile. Current (and stormblood) extremes should count for both, like Innocence, etc. I think so those are kind of better to farm than dungeons. Gunbreaker is the only one where you can get both mount progress from dungeons.

I bet Emanation extreme would be a really good one to farm for tank mounts.

Yup, still counts. Just did it undersized solo and now I have 19 clears for the "But Somebody's Gotta Do It (Dark Knight)" achievement.

I did it after I read your post and after reading the achievement description to see if it does require a party or not for it to count.

This was implemented before you could undersize so you had to do it with a group.

SE needed to give tanks incentives to queue so made this achievement.

It's an exploit whether you knew or not.
