That's my thinking, just SE priorities. People are acting like this is and I quote "regression" or censorship, I highly doubt that. Probably just got bug reports about 2b bottoms specifically.

The issue your also brought up makes a lot of sense, according to you since it is multiple longboots that are causing the same effect, it's probably an issue with that skin tone thing. In the other thread I think people said the raid bottoms were also effected in that way. People are trying to co-opt the bug of a completely seperate piece of gear, the various raid bottoms, to call attention on 2b.

I don't know if the longboots issue is related to the transparency thing. If you get behind some kind of transparency effect, the hosiery/sheer parts of the Yorha outfits will disappear and show bare skin underneath:

I only know of two ways to trigger this: walk into an aquarium, or sit atop water. The 5.15 patch notes did warn that these transparent portions on the Yorha equipment will disappear in some situations. I believe it just not possible to show the two different transparency effects together, so that's probably not going to go away unless they go back to only using solid colors, or if they can make big change to the graphics. This maybe why they avoided putting transparency effects onto gear for so long.

Most of the raid bottom glitches I've seen just look like tears in the hose when paired with long boots, but the DRG bottoms are the worst of it from what I've seen.

That maybe an issue with the transparency, but I still don't think it should be doing that. The water/glass shows that is should be just showing the bare skin if its just a transparency issue. That is probably something they will fix.

Something I've wondered with these various glitches:

1. Water removes the stocking effect

2. DRG leg gear is glitching since the stockings were altered

...so what happens if you go into the water while wearing the glitched stockings?

I thought of that but don't have the drg legs to try it. I have the healer legs and striking legs. The striking legs seem to be ok. I couldn't find any pair of long boots that caused an issue with them.

But the healers bottoms get a tear in inner thighs that stretches across the lower band when paired with every single long boots that I tried, so I decided to put them under water while glitched to see if interesting happens. The stockings disappear like expected. The tear remains in the band. No crazy leg holes open up or anything like that.

Oh you're right. I guess i didn't notice at first because I was looking for rips. That would mean every single raid pants have glitches with long boot? I think healer shares the same model with fending, aiming and casting, so they probably all have issues. And NIN has the striking model? DRG has its own and that's been shown to be really messed up.
