    I just don't like the argument I keep seeing that people asking for improvements are just acting entitled or something. That's why I said what I did in my first post - because just saying nobody's entitled to the spawns or nobody has to wait comes off as kind of dismissive. Especially when the thread was started by someone who said in their first post that they actively hunt down those hunts themself. This isn't an "I want a shot at someone else's work" thing, it's an "I enjoy this content and would like to see its accessibility and longevity improved" thing.

    To be fair, I don't know any game that doesn't lag horribly with 100, 200 or 300 players all using skills. Plus their minions and chocobos out because who dismisses anything anymore.

    Fair enough. I'm not trying to dismiss suggestions, but I am trying to address the pushed player perspective of 'it's not free-for-all because of [reasons]' when there's documented responses that say otherwise from staff.

    I just don't see a reason to touch hunts because that's resources I'd rather they'd use elsewhere. I can't say I'm a fan of the notion that someone that paid for HW runs into a Lv.80 A rank either and they can't even reasonably participate because they haven't bought the latest expansion or are geared up enough to not be 1-shot. That comes off as highly flawed at best.

    Personally, if I were to rework hunting, you'd have to make a team of 8 and actually engage in track locating and following before being able to find a hunt and kill it. Think like a mini version of Monster Hunter World, minus the scout flies. Finding fresh or old prints and following certain ones lures out certain monsters with baits or scents that award different things other than the standard hunt stuff (think how different map floors award different things). It'd only appear for that group. You know, hunting.

    Yeah that's fair. I totally get that it's free for all content, and whether SE leaves it as is or changes it there's always gonna be someone who's left out or just plain unhappy. I'm honestly not too fussed about it - there are a lot of things I'd love to see them fix first, too, honestly. This isn't at the top of my list, it's just something I'd like to see them take another crack at at some point.

    I actually like that hunting idea too. I'd really like a system that's a little more involved than just waiting for respawn timers and checking spawn points, even if I'm not sure it's something they'd actually do.

    Thinking about it, hunting right now feels a bit like hunting rare spawns in wow did, but with shorter and more predictable spawn timers maybe that's what gets me about this lmao. Flashbacks to all the times I spent days camping a rare only to have somebody else walk up and snatch it the second it spawned. :P

    Anyway. Whatever SE chooses to do in the future, I hope it means we can keep enjoying hunts... or at least enjoying the rewards... and hopefully see some improvements somewhere down the line.

    Honestly, if the bulk of these people trying to lowman/solo the S ranks were genuinely interested in the seals as opposed to just trying to deny other people the rewards out of spite, I wouldn't really care that much. Overall, it's really just a select few individuals who've devoted themselves to making hunting as unpleasant as possible for everyone involved (And lamentably succeeding for the most part). If they aren't around, it's not uncommon for the S ranks to just be left alone despite the zone-wide notifications and if I do find some random person trying to solo one, they'll generally stop and allow a relay to go out if I ask them, but I won't be that fussed if they don't.

    I think the biggest thing I'd want overall is just the ability to check if a S rank's spawn window is open or not in-game because these trolls thrive partly on denying others the knowledge of kill times as it makes it that much easier for them to pick off the hunts in the future.

    As someone who's primary enjoyment of the gameplay in this game is derived from spawning S ranks, a limited in-game tracker would work wonder for me.

    I don't care if I miss my own spawns, I just wish the efforts to spawn old S ranks don't have a possibility to be completely in vain because the respective mob was stealth killed.

    Old A ranks fading into obscurity isn't a problem, but I feel there's enough of a gameplay dynamic with past S ranks to justify some extra resources put into them to aid those who wish to still engage in the content.
