Maybe they should just give you a butt switch, or a bicycle pump and let you pump it up as big as you want?
That would be with the understanding you have to accept whatever clipping you cause.

At this point i would like the pancake effect to go away. I dont usually care about the butt thing but last night i switched back to a moon miqo and the sweater/2b combo i made (as a cheeky holiday glam) is now...washboard flat. Like...worse than the regular butt. The Hank Hill Effect (or diminished glutes) is in full effect. Ug.
Calm the passive aggressiveness. It's not a witch hunt because they aren't saying, "Here they are officer!" They are showing the root of where this could have possibly stemmed from.
No one is witch hunting. One person on the NA forum complaining does not a hotfix make. I have a feeling the potential clipping issue was with a future mog outfit or from other complaints on the JP server where their body image standards are vastly different than here. As are the standards of decorum. Maybe so many people with their butts flapping free was too much for the JP servers and they just agreed across the board.
In any case, complaining about a popular aesthetic item that has basically been broken into something that warps your character unnaturally does not make the people complaining into a sorry lot. It makes them into an angry lot.
(Also yes. Don't witch hunt that other thread. Be the bigger people (tho our butts be small).
Yeah, it's the same problem as Quaintrelle's Ruffled Skirt, it doesn't display the skirt with 99% of body gear. I assume body gear is only ever flagged as "long" or "short" and if it's long then we get the reduced version of the leg gear instead of the normal one. And for whatever reason things like the Hannish Wool Autumn Shirt and Scorpion Harness are "long". It would probably make more sense to have "tucked in" versions of the body gear for those shorter pieces, but that would probably be a lot of work to go through all the gear and re-flag everything as tuckable or not. The Survival Shirt and Extreme Survival Shirt make me wonder if they had planned for some sort of shirt-shrinking instead of pants-destroying method at some point but scrapped it and just made two different pieces of gear.Anyway, and back to the topic, if anything this has showcased me the reason why the butt is the way it is and why most of the gear covers/hide it. This whole "fiasco" is more a testament of "the cutting corners" approach FFXIV team has been using since SB (more like ARR but by then was justified), because they did not even bother properly testing it things like the clipping from DRG leggins+2b boots are a thing.
Oh relax. While I stand by my point that this is an easily avoidable glitch (like someone else said, why wear 2b legs under a long covered dress), it wasn't meant as an attack on this person. She saw an ugly clip, and reported it. Big whoop. I was pointing out this (which I found after someone else pointed it out on Reddit) to show that the extreme case of butt clippage was likely what caused them to red flag on this issue specifically. Sheesh.
Why are we getting angry over fake butt.
And on this day the world shall know that digital butt cheeks was the trending trouble facing the peaceful Eorzean heroes. The comments piled faster than the rising of the full moon. Cries were heard, louder than thunderous claps! A problem most thicc such that none could see the tunnel at the end.
I can't believe there's this much of an uproar over something like this. I almost miss Destiny 2's community.
This guy! WOW! He came to a thread that doesn't concern him and dismissed people's complains!
To hell with Greta Thunberg, give THIS guy the person of the year award!
