The Emperor's New Fists still has the same issue that the OP is talking about. They don't turn your fists into actual closed fists, they essentially make your hands look like you're "gripping" onto some kind of invisible weapon handles.

This times a million. The gauntlet type weapons too have these invisible grips, even though with those they had a chance to just replace it with a fist model. As petty as it is, this is one of the major reasons I rarely play monk.

Yeah, the Emperor's New Fists (conceptually) would've been really cool (would work nicely with lots of gloves), but like Nezerius and Lersayil said, the issue of the almost-closed-fist remains. Saw on r/ffxiv yesterday a thread about nerfing the NieR bottoms. They can fix that issue, but they can't fix monk's fists? haha

I dunno why people use those fist to be honest as it doesn't fix the issue.. PLUS our hands are WAY too small. It's why on my monk I use the big gloves from the ARR monk outfit. Cause otherwise .. yeah I can't deal with how small our hands are by default. It looks off.
