Please let us apply glamour plates outside cities

S-E has already said more than once they applying glamour plates outside of cities would cause database and server problems. So, wanting a smoother experience for everyone else is "dumb"?

My initial reaction to finding out I couldn't view or change glamour plates outside a city was similar to OP's. Not knowing the why behind it is a valid reason for saying "that's dumb" to a restriction that doesn't make sense. You have to keep in mind that not everyone stays up to date with what SE says. I highly doubt hynaku is saying stable servers is dumb. Next time, instead of attempting a subtle insult that just backfires on you, use some critical thinking.

When you get much better gear in a dungeon but it ruins your style.

I have dinged in a dungeon and refused to update my gear until the run is through and I can get to a city. Can't level efficiently if you don't look fabulous doing it.

Back before 5.0 launched, at the fanfests, they asked people what was the most important part to update. Number of plates, number of slots, or where they can be applied.

The majority wanted number of slots, followed by number of plates, and last was where you can apply. They gave us more plates, and double the slots in 5.0. I would think they are working on the last bit as well. You know they know it's a requested feature.

I don't k ow why people think the devs intentionally leave features out. They work on them as they can and tend to add them in in batches. We'll likely get updates to the glamour dresser throughout the expansion.

The issue is probably that the game right now can't handle keeping all of our glamour chest data around in every zone. It's ok in a city since the dresser can be tied to that one zone for access, but once you zone out the connection is lost.

Wether is be ps4 or 1.0 code limitations we will never know, but I think it needs to change. However it's one incentive to keep coming back to town. I know I've went back to town just to change glamours and ended up messing around with retainers since I was there, but other than that, it needs to be changed.

Your response is dumb. So how is it different applying glamour plates than using glamour prism's and placing glamour old way on gear. It should be the exact same. So wouldn't using glamour prism's outside a city cause game not to run smoothly?. I have yet to see them cause me to loose fps or game not run smooth when using them to glamour gear. I carry on me at least 20 sets of full glamour all the time. I only use it to store gear to free up space for my retainers for crafting mats since seems worthless to me since only can use it in main cities.

This is a lot like people thinking "Facebook/YouTube/Twitter/other sites that have local instances everywhere/other games no where near where SE servers are located works fine, so it must be the servers" when internet issues happen with the game.

This is why don't use it for glamour its a worthless system and only is good for storing gear. Lets say you get better gear in dungeon and want place same glamour on it but guess what you can't because glamour plates only work in major city. So better to just keep glamour's you use stored with your gear and keep lots and lots of glamour prism's in your item bag.

Probably some "master" glamour chest that stores everything from the linked glamour chests on each server and limiting the access to this to Inn Rooms in order to reduce server load. I think what they could do is expand the types of areas you can access your plates. Right now it's cities, so what about any place that is a sanctuary?

That's up to you, personally I'd rather have the better gear equipped. Can fix the glamor later.

In not saying I don't want the glamour system to improve, it's just not as easy as people like to say it is.

I don't think it's up to the devs usually. They likely have a set budget and priorities. Naturally, those come first, followed by what they can spare. I also think that some requests aren't communicated to the dev team properly, so when something does get released that people have requested, it is almost never what people asked for. It is also more often than not overcomplicated. Yoshi P has also said on multiple occasions that they are severely understaffed. That shows a lot, especially as the game gets older. So sure, throwing money at a problem probably won't fix it, as they have said. But throwing money at more people would potentially help a great deal, even if it means giving some of them training. I'm not the CEO of a big name company so...I'm sure it's never that simple. But I'd like to think it is sometimes.
