Just because something is in the game doesn't mean we should be able to mimic it. This would only encourage as said from other people before me. Example would be the reason that they decided to not put the option to gamble Gil in Mah Jongg. They do not wish to encourage said behavior. I do not have a problem with such furnishings but I do not believe making this an emote is the best course of action.Pole dancing is a legitimate performance art, just like burlesque; it's by no means limited to strip clubs, and outside of the dance world, there's plenty of people that enjoy it for equal parts fun and fitness. Just because something is sensual or erotic doesn't mean it's prostitution. On top of that, the Beehive dance is INCREDIBLY tame. Let's not turn this into a needless moral panic.
To OP: yes please. I've wanted the pole and animations ever since I made it to Eulmore; I'm dying to show off my Viera legs.
But it already exists in-game? Player interactions don't change an ESRB rating whatsoever. Keep in mind that there's already adult content in FFXIV: violence, rape, slavery, racism, prostitution, cannibalism, fascist empires, and so forth.
Those exist in every popular MMO roleplay community; FFXIV is no exception. What people do in private is really no one else's business.
Fortunately, that's not for you and your hangups to decide.Just because something is in the game doesn't mean we should be able to mimic it. This would only encourage as said from other people before me. Example would be the reason that they decided to not put the option to gamble Gil in Mah Jongg. To be honest, if encouraging bad behavior really bothered you, you'd also be calling out all the senseless violence our characters commit against frequently harmless beings, as well.

Never said it was. I'm only stating my opinion on it. Sorry if you think that's the case but it's not.
I have nothing against "Fantasy violence" and other aspects of the game. If you want to use that as comparison then would you want to mimic Slavery, racism, prostitution, cannibalism?
I'm not here to tell you what you can't get or anything. I'm merely expressing my opinion about it. Though I've said all I wanted to say and won't comment on this any further.

I think they actually forgot the Thavnarian dance. Looks more sensual than the actual Eulmoran pole dance.
This is such a ridiculously loaded question. Of course no one wants to advocate for things like slavery, racism, and cannibalism. My point is in your matter-of-fact hypocrisy; you took something that is completely innocent and consensual, claimed it as 'prostitution' (as if legalized sex work is somehow the gravest sin), then labeled it as a bad influence in a game that's filled to the brim with adult content and/or touchy subject matter. It was a reactionary, puritanical, knee-jerk reaction to a harmless request for both an item and animation that already exists in FFXIV and is by no means offensive. The language you used made two things very clear: an attempt at moral high ground, and a resounding 'no' ("stuff like this is never going to happen", etc.). No amount of backtracking is going to change that.I have nothing against "Fantasy violence" and other aspects of the game. If you want to use that as comparison then would you want to mimic Slavery, racism, prostitution, cannibalism?

Also that.
pole dancing is sexual but currerent generation degenerates are trying to turn it into a normal hobby, they are propably the same people who force their children to perform dances on gay clubs.I'm not sure if you've been paying attention but more and more we get NPC emotes. Should the Warrior of Light, Eikon Slayer, Savior of the First tremble in fear? Well, we can, as an emote. We, who slayed Ifrit can stand around and be sweaty. We, who contested with Shiva and endured Coerthas can /shiver.
Pole dancing is fitness and DRG was already working it with Ring of Thorns.
I say yes to this and want it, like yesterday.
It's not his hangups though. It's the development teams. Like they alluded to there is literally no gambling in the Gold Saucer due to various countries laws. They have to abide by age ratings and PR. Remember the whole "player brothels" fiasco at fanfest?
Literally neither of these things are true.
1. We're not talking about the Gold Saucer.
2. I don't think someone asking a question after reading an article on Kotaku and Yoshida being confused counts as a fiasco, but okay.
My guy or gal I'm gonna have to ask you to stop being this wrong and unaware. In the event this isn't bait and you are dead serious, seek a social group for help. Please.
