Counterpoint: Have you looked at a Bethesda product recently?
And no, fan-made mods and fixes don't count.
TBH… I think a majority of their issues are actually caused by users that don't know what they are doing but wont listen when others tell them otherwise... >.>
I played Fallout 76 from their pre-launch well into the first couple months after launch and had only experienced issues with 2 quest triggers being broken. I'd actually not experienced any of the mountain of crap people claimed was rampant and widespread. My only real issue was running out of stuff to do at the time and wanting to be able to mod the crap out of it like fallout 4 or skyrim. One funny story though is that the fanbase actually made Bethesda put a glitch back into Skyrim by complaining about it being fixed. It was the one where getting killed by a Giant could send you flying into orbit.
If half the reasons for them not being able to do or add certain things that I've seen around this forum are true, then I'm pretty sure this game is coded on a base of string cheese and spaghetti wire. At least Bethesda bugs are funny lmao
Anyway I don't see why not if the lore exists. If not at least you can dress up like both in game, even if the werewolf costume is a little... eh. Really wish the female pants weren't that weird mini skirt, but oh well.
TESO—the only other title brought up in this thread—is by ZeniMax, not the regular Bethesda team. We all know regular Bethsoft games are held together with duct tape, but FFXIV doesn't fair much better, either, and that's something the devs of this game have been pretty transparent about. There's a reason chocobo saddle bags exist instead of more regular inventory space.

This pretty much. Even if SE were to put these in.. all it'l be is waifu and fuzzy races and noone asking for this wants them to be cute anime people.. but thats what they'll be in this game. This game being anime game in all.ESO has it yeah, but it works in a game like ESO where you are meant to be switching skillsets constantly, on top of having a limited amount to use at a time to begin with. In FFXIV, the werewolf form would probably just end up being "cute", and the vampire form, I don't know what it would do really. Anyway, I already got my werewolf costume from like 2 years ago I think. I can look like a half furry anytime I want!
There's a lot of really grotesque monster designs in this game. I don't know what y'all are talking about.
monster designs yes. But we're talking about player character designs. None of the PC options look grotesque.. all of them look like super anime models. Even the qoute beast race we have is on the more -cute fuzzy- side.
No, but aside from one or two Miqo'te faces, none of them look 'anime', either, nor are Hrothgar anything I consider as cute and fluffy. I also think it's unfair to assume the aesthetic other people want when they haven't spoken for themselves.
I'd say the way the characters move is far more anime than the way they look. I say that as an Au Ra that has quite exaggerated anime-like movements, Veira doesn't move anime-like though, imo.
