Cannot transfer my character; request for refund of mogstation items purchased.

Hi, I recently made a character on my main server/data center (Siren) to give it some gold and items, and level boosting it with a Mogstation item before transferring it to a new data center where I have no other characters (Diabolos). I got an error that I needed to wait 3 days to transfer, but after waiting 3 days it now says I must wait 90 days.

I searched to see if anyone else had this problem and it seems a new rule was created that will not allow transfer from a preferred world (I did not know this rule, nor that Siren was preferred at the time of creation). I wanted to know that since Diabolos is also a preferred world, could my transfer be facilitated by a game master? If not, can I have a refund of my Mogstation level boost so that I can buy it again for a new character which I will create on Diabolos?

generally level boosts and other mogstation items are non-refundable...also the GM/mods on this forum cannot help you with your request, you'd have to go to mogstation help.

The rule for waiting 90 days to transfer off of a Preferred World isn’t really “new”—it’s been in place for at least 2 years now. Requirements for world transfers are listed on the Lodestone, and, I believe, given to you before you pay for the transfer itself (I’ve only transferred one character, and that was about a year ago, so I cannot exactly recall if this is the case or not).

To check the statuses of worlds, you can also go to this link on the Lodestone, which is updated every few hours. The developers do keep up constantly updated about the status of Worlds—what they currently are and any changes that may be happening—so you not knowing your World’s status is unfortunately an error on your part; which likely means that you would not be eligible for a reimbursement.

I'd like to point out, that when Spriggan was changed from New to standard, my transfer restriction was not lifted as I arrived while it was still New. So this probably applies to any transfer situations, and the status of your destination server changes - your restriction wont change with it.
