Love how with this community you mention hating anything about XI, and they jump your ass about how we shouldn't hate it because FFXI was a huge success..

You have that backwards -- Mention FFXI or mention liking it you get told you shouldn't like it and that XIV is a new game and it's a good idea they decided to ruin XIV on original launch instead of using what worked and becoming a better game, you know, like WoW, Rift and SWTOR did.

From what I've seen a good bit of the people suggesting ideas from XI only suggest ideas from XI. It's like they have no gamming experience outside of XI whatsoever, and defend even bad ideas to the death just because they're from XI.

The point of my post was that an idea should not be instantly deemed good or bad because of the game that it's from, but instead it should be judged on the functionality itself. It's idiotic to instantly write off something for no other reason than disliking the game it came from whether it be XI or WoW.
