Yet over all the time they put more and more stuff into the mogstation and how has that created a better game? We still got limited races with their limited glamour options.

There was a swedish dev that once said that you just need to tell people how great they are for doing this (microtransactions) and that it will help the company but never truly mean it..just look at how many games have these kind of microtransactons and still kick out hundreds or thousands of their employee after the release of a successfull game..

Just because they are telling us that this might be used for it we cant be sure..and seeing how the game really does not get much better even with the biggest amount of subs ever and a expensive cash shop on top of that...I have a hard time believing that the cash shop money flows back into that game..

It's almost like Yoshida is a middle aged Japanese man who ends up letting his personal preferences shine trough in his decisions as producer and director. Like, remember how he had the design for Lakshmi changed from the artwork just because he didn't find it "cute" enough?

How insulting. And kind of racist. He's the director and producer of a multi million dollar Square Enix property. He understands the market, and thus far has carried the series in a way that has worked in favor of the company. Not going about telling his staff things he alone would want. There are test audiences. We could have had beautiful, amazonian female au ra, but instead we got teeny kawaii desu waifus. And behold, they scurry around the game like mice in a sewer. So I guess the design decision worked.

The devs have said that the Mog Station profits paid for the server upgrades...
And that profits from it are Theirs to use, instead of going Square Enix first.

Stuff like moving the European servers out of Canada over into one of the European countries.

Ah yes Sri Lakshmi was heavily influenced by Yoshi P, the fact Soken and other developers had to argue a fair bit with him just to keep the vocals in her theme song as they were rather than someone 'younger' sounding is kinda erm questionable at worst, it is his preference but sometimes a producer/director needs to put that aside when it doesn't fit well or you get issues like what Tales of Zesteria had, something i hope Yoshi P is actually aware of since he tends to not go too far most of the time.

I can see the insulting part, but where's the racist part? Stating his ethnicity is not racist. The cultures of the far east are also vastly different from those of the western world so by stating his ethnicity it only offers insight that his mindset might be a little different than what someone from the US, UK, or EU might think.

A bit disappointed with the sale, was hoping for more items to be discounted.

I used to play 4 different characters equally - splitting the jobs by role between 4 characters of different races. I had every combat job except samurai to 70, but only in 1-2 roles per character.

With SB I decided to finally have a main... and the new main has a LOT of jobs to 're-level'... so discounts on level skips are actually great for me. I've bought 2 recently... one unfortunately right BEFORE this sale... but it means I now have most of the tanks and healers 'back' to where they were before I consolidated down to one character.

Only big gap for me is my main lacks all the melee DPS I used to play.

Same here... by maybe 2-3 days. That said it was only a $5 difference. That's the price of a cup of coffee where I live, so not a major upset; just an oops...

Jump sale worthless to me since I have done all job quests and there all level 80. I was hoping for there dyes to be on sale for it like last years.

The dress is cute, and maybe I will buy it for my retainers at some point, but I'm dissapointed there is nothing for males 2nd time in a row. Saves my cash, I suppose.
