Is this seriously all of the black friday sale on mogstation? Didn't we just have jumps on sale too like a month ago? Wtf is this crap SE.

I was waiting for a better outfit like Lyse's or anyone elses. What about fantasias and mounts and all the actual good stuff? I guess they don't want money.

I think it's quite easy to understand why Y'shtola gets all the new goodies, if you track down where she's been and what she seems to be outside of the game. Let's be honest, despite Derplander taking our place in any cinematic trailer, Y'shtola is the poster girl for anything else. In Dissidia she got added first, and I believe they even have her ShB outfit there too. In the WoFF expansion Y'shtola is there as well. So, anything FF-related is going to include Y'shtola instead of Derplander. I think the only exception might be FFXV and MHW. Can't say anything about PSO2 as I haven't played that. I'm not sure how big Y'shtola is in Japan, but that may have something to do with it too.

And when it comes to design quality for male vs female, I can't help but feel a bias to female sets as well, but it is what it is and nothing will change that. I remember there being a rumour about some devs not feeling comfortable working on a male model and rather would work on a female model. Not sure if that's true, so take that with a grain of salt. But if it is, they really should work on their stance, a job's a job, you did sign up for it after all.

If people are defeatist, sure. Yet there's plenty that will change it - such as being vocal (but respectful) about the issue on every possible front.

Perhaps, I'm just of the opinion that some things won't change, no matter what. And I think this is one of those things. I'm all for more quality for male outfits, I really am. But all I see now are just all the gender-locked outfits being un-genderlocked. Which to me isn't the same. Yes, it's what some people wanted and it is a step forward, I am not denying that. And if I take a look at the Yohra gear, which has a different model for each gender, I feel that the female outfits just look better, especially the 2B/ 2P set from the coffer. Sure, it's a 1-on-1 copy on both males and females, but it looks so weird on a male. I remember dying of laughter for a good 30 minutes when I put it on my catboy (and dying it pink didn't help either...).

Anyway, I will agree on that some things are changing, but I still feel that there's a bias, and there probab;y always will be for one reason or another. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they prove me wrong though.

The gender locked outfits are being unlocked in no small part due to a small portion of the community being very vocal in their efforts to see it happen. I guarantee that if people were just as vocal about the issues being discussed then we'd see an improvement on that front as well. It's a common trend, people convince themselves that nothing will change and then they spread that defeatist attitude to others so they don't bother speaking up either.

Be the change you wish to see. Rally others to your side. Some will ignore your call to arms, but others will most certainly join in. It'll take time, though I am confident that things will improve if enough people speak up where it's relevant. They just need to remain civil in order to avoid a ban and to ignore bait laid by those opposed to such things who seek to try and get them to say something they'll regret.

On my end, I will not stop fighting the battle. No matter how long it takes. I encourage you to do the same.

It's cute. Though the wrists look the same as the maids. I only buy things on sale thou. And it's not dyeable, so that puts me off.

It's cute but not really something I'd wear, even if it was dyeable. Maybe it'd be better in black or white, but oh well haha.

    - A lot more quality control, time and effort seems to go into outfits worn by female NPC's compared to those worn by male NPC's. Hien and Ramza are excellent examples of that when compared to Lyse and Alma.
    - The gender lock is removed on certain female exclusive outfits, yet that does nothing to appease those of us who aren't interested in dressing up our male characters in dresses.
    - Yoshi-P is on record saying he wants to see certain outfits himself to dress his character up in, such as Y'shtola's new outfit, but is fairly dismissive when outfits used by male characters are suggested.
I really hope all of this changes at some point. Fairness is a big factor for sure, but more selfishly because as a female who almost exclusively plays female characters? I'm *also* sick of all the robes and dresses, no matter how cute or pretty the ones they churn out are. I've had my eye on a lot of male exclusive outfits for a long while, and I'm really hoping they unlock *those* gender restrictions too. I've been tempted to go cat boy more than once just to wear them, but then I lose a lot of other looks that I like.

But yeah. More variety and options for everyone, and more fairness in what does get released, is definitely something I support.

Is that really a fair assessment when we consider 2B/2P was designed on a female character then ported to male characters?

Baby, tell me, what's your motive?

I'll be blunt, I think it is. Why? Because it's my opinion. I'm not right, nor am I wrong. It's just what I think. But compared to the raid gear, which both have a different model, again, I think it is. They could have changed the model for that set on males to show something that looks good on a male character and resemables 2B/2P, but they choose not to. Of course, it comes down to preference. I just find it an odd choice, but it is in-line with their wave of unlocking the gender-locks.
You could argue that it isn't a 2B/2P set anymore, or instead having it be 9S' set instead of the 2B/2P set for the males.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I am pretty neutral about mostly everything in the game, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about something. I never stated it was a fact either, so do with that wahetever it is you want.
