Either give us a lvl 1 glamour version or remove the glam restriction....
Does that mean I'm allowed to play a role I suck at and be a leach thats cared on by my group members so I can wear the gear I want ?
In that case ice mage here I come !
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I feel like this'd be a really nice thing to do, especially because those glamours are really unique. C'mon, SE! The models are there, just put them on a vendor and let us buy them with currency!
The "job identity" thing went out the window this patch when they allowed classes to mix and match the Sky Pirate sets. Also job identity means nothing in a game where you can change your appearance. I use the same glam on most classes and it consists of craftable lv.1 glam gear. You can't tell when I'm a tank or dps or healer. I mean, the Battlemage robe has been made available to all classes!
What happens when I suck at Dragoon for example? Or when a Paladin doesn't like playing casters but wants the dress? There's nothing wrong with a bit of inclusivity and this would definitely please a lot of people. If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it, but more options never hurt anyone!
While I don't necessarily want/need the 9S gear, a lot of the female-avatar playerbase expressed interested in it. I think it'll probably be the next raid-quest reward, and the final will perhaps have A2's gear. Since I'm talking about gear, I meant both versions (though I used the dresses because they're closer to me).

So you don't get to wear it... it's pretty simple. Sorry but homogenizing the gear so everyone looks the same doesn't make for diversity which I think is a good thing. You're entitled to your view and I think the dev's feel the same way I do.What happens when I suck at Dragoon for example? Or when a Paladin doesn't like playing casters but wants the dress? You can play any role you like and maybe work a bit to learn how to play. I bet you'd make an awesome ice mage though.

I see the role restrictions as a necessary evil, my reasoning is if there is no role restrictions on gear why bother making 7 sets per 24m/8m/dungeon it would be unnecessary and just more coding, use more art assets etc and there is no telling where they would go if that happened.
Aetheryte earrings are already in game which change stats based on job so it is well within their technology to do so with other gear pieces, and i don't know about you but i rather still have 7 sets that may have variations on look than a single set, which puts way more pressure to be pleasing to the individual.
Guy butt is best butt <3

How does massively increasing glamour options for people leads to honogeneizing how everyone looks? And news flash: everyone already looks the same: like 2B.So you don't get to wear it... it's pretty simple. Sounds to me like you're just trying to dictate how people look. Who died and made you fashion and diversity police?

Sorry my opinion differs from yours. Oddly enough the developers seem to think gear differences are important and as such they actually make different gear for different roles. How dare they dictate how you look.

Those same devs also gave us the Replica Sky Pirate sets of all roles, unlocked for every role. Seems they think moving forward that them being open is the best course. But how dare they "homogeneize" how we look by giving us even more options.
Checkmate

I prefer checkers personally just like I don't want to see all gear unlocked. I have a different opinion than you so you're just going to have to accept it sorry. It's not a question of how DARE I. The world is filled with people who think differently. Get used to it.

But on the contrary.
The moment you lift the glamour restriction, you open à box full of things that can be used together, giving us way more options to not look all the same beacause everyone is wearing 2B's dress because it's the only one that is not locked.
Take a look at Rift system, I can mix every piece I ever got to create a look that no one else would have thought about because they did not like some of the pieces I used.
Here, we are stuck with archetype glamour and lvl 1 so, basicaly....almost everyone use the same pieces...
(did a roulette this week end, the 3 other persons wore the exact same outfit, 2B's)

"Inspired" by a previous 24 man raid ?
Plus, considering most of the lvling outfits are just the same piece but with a different color....when they are not just recolor of previous set....
We all look the samed because
- SE reu-use previous design
- We do not have liberty at all regarding what we can wear
