How about we just remove glamour restrictions on all none artifact gear?
I don't understand why people are against this? Especially since - again - the gear in this raid isn't necessarily distinct for every role. So what's the issue?
One of the most painful and frustrating aspects of glamouring is finding pieces of gear that work perfectly together until the role restriction rule rears its god-awful head and you can't wear them because they are locked to different jobs.
I get there's the whole "job identity" thing, but that argument falls flat on its face when gear sets get reused and reshuffled again and again.
If we have the requisite classes leveled we should have the freedom to mix and match.
They could allow you to glamour with it as long as you have the role needed leveled up.
But then again, they've been creating level 1 replicas of gear for glamour purposes now. So it's not surprising if they did that here.
I'm sure it's the aiming top that is more sought after.. but thankfully it did not boost the already overly populated DNC.
Though I too want job restrictions on gear to be removed for the purposes of glamour.
Just unlock role restrictions on glamours, it’d be a simpler solution to what a lot of people want to glamour. I wanted a decent looking pirate hat on my SCH since forever, but they are all locked to DoW.
Either give us a lvl 1 glamour version or remove the glam restriction....
Does that mean I'm allowed to play a role I suck at and be a leach thats cared on by my group members so I can wear the gear I want ?
In that case ice mage here I come !
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I feel like this'd be a really nice thing to do, especially because those glamours are really unique. C'mon, SE! The models are there, just put them on a vendor and let us buy them with currency!
The "job identity" thing went out the window this patch when they allowed classes to mix and match the Sky Pirate sets. Also job identity means nothing in a game where you can change your appearance. I use the same glam on most classes and it consists of craftable lv.1 glam gear. You can't tell when I'm a tank or dps or healer. I mean, the Battlemage robe has been made available to all classes!
What happens when I suck at Dragoon for example? Or when a Paladin doesn't like playing casters but wants the dress? There's nothing wrong with a bit of inclusivity and this would definitely please a lot of people. If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it, but more options never hurt anyone!
While I don't necessarily want/need the 9S gear, a lot of the female-avatar playerbase expressed interested in it. I think it'll probably be the next raid-quest reward, and the final will perhaps have A2's gear. Since I'm talking about gear, I meant both versions (though I used the dresses because they're closer to me).
Personally, there are a lot of other outfits I'd like to see made available before these - and also I feel like it would be less likely to happen when the designs are part of the crossover rather than "native" to the game.
(Am I the only one creeped out by how thin the waists on the dresses are? I tried on the caster dress expecting to be bothered by the cleavage window, and instead all I could think was how unnatural the waist looked. I get that corsets are a thing some people find appealing, but not me.)
