Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

Hello! I am actually the artist of that female hrothgar picture! I originally posted her on my tumblr (sammi-doodles) and my twitter (@sammi_doodles)
Thank you for thinking my Alashar's design is cool ;v;

I just found these female hrothgar and male viera support threads today and wanted to add my Likes to support both! I guess it's still just a foggy future so far...but I hope the community can keep the fiery support alive so it could still be a possibility in the future to play the characters we want!

I so long to bring my Alashar into the game in all her glory and see all the glorious hrothgals and boy buns join all the other characters in the world!

I like that art. It is probably the most realistic depiction of what they might look like in this game. Albeit, SE would probably somehow make them look much uglier.

I higly doubt SE would make a female character ugly. If anything, I feel like the worry should be on them being too pretty and too little bestial imo

I dont think female roes are ugly at all, they qwere kinda designed to appeal to a certain demographic which does find them quite beautifull I guess. Lalafells are quite disturbing, not because all players use them for that, but I mean, I had to go to limsa last night and I cant look at lalafells the same :/

I appreciate that you like my art but...I dunno that it's fair to call other races in game ugly - even as a joke? Putting down other race designs in a support thread asking for more character creation just feels a little tasteless and bound to spark ire ^^;;

Why not? They are characters not people. Fictional races. I don't see what matters, I will say without joking males have some objectively hideous looking faces, like the various old man faces. Females have some ugly options (feature combinations, eye shape, nose, etc.) for faces, in my opinion. If someone gets offended over that, then that is a them problem, not a me problem.

I do like your art. It has a realistic body type for FFXIV, how I would picture them in FFXIV, and the face is attractive, matches the body, and has a good hairstyle.

After all, there just isnt such a thing as objectively ugly pretty or beatuifull, and sayign that will just end up in a completely uncesseary fight. I think thatb y instead of saying 'this is so ugly' you said: 'I just find this so ugly' then nobody could complain. Its the small changes that can make the big differences

No. These are video game characters. I will not tailor my speech because somebody cannot separate themselves from their character and reality. Then again this is FFXIV and 2019, should literally not expect any less. On top of that I am not even calling anyone's specific character "ugly" I am calling some of the options that SE has given us ugly, that I suspect they would make hrothgar females ugly as well. Not only that they would probably have the exact same problems male hrothgar have, making your initial choice require a fantasia to alter.

You're of course welcome to your opinions and criticisms. I just felt it was a little mean spirited the way you worded it is all.
But let's hope together that if SE can add female hrothgar to the game that they do a good job and bring us some interesting and cool options
Thank you for appreciating my design though, I realized after the fact that she felt pretty inspired by Fang - at least with how I want her hair to eventually look when it's not in braids.
It's too bad SE doesn't include more FF character hair styles, I'm sure Fang's would be popular ^^
