Anyone who watched the live letters knew that the Goobue mount was coming, so I don't get why now that It's out all this rage is coming about. Does this mean when the Drake and Evil-Eye mounts come out we can expect more post like this?

Now that it's in the game, SE can continue to advance it as development progresses.You know, kind of like how when Chocobos originally came out with the intention of faster transportation and now almost 4months later we are going to be able to equip armor on then, which will eventually serve a purpose when they fight along side us in battle.

In the end all I can say is if you don't want the Goobue mount, then don't get it. But if the thought of even having the option of getting one is too much for your stomach to bare, then by all means wait for Ver 2.0; that way you'll ever have to worry about riding one again.

You'll just have to sit back and watch the rest of us ride them =p

oh? I beg to differ my fine gentleman. Having a variety which people may or may not like is a nice option to have. Not everyone may love the Goobbue mount but they can choose not to get it if it suits them.

Would you not like to have the option to toggle the help texts on and off? Would you like to be unable to skip cutscenes?

It's all about being given the option to do what we want and have the things we do or do not want. Isn't that the nicest thing of all?

No, but at some point in this games lifespan I would like for them to quit handing us shit and telling us it is gold.

Also, I did get one and used it, until it obnoxiously took up 80% of my screen (so like 3 seconds) and then I promptly switched back to chocobo.

I like Chocobo better also for the same reasons as you do. I personally don't feel like they were treating this mount like it was the best thing to ever come to ffxiv. I think they just added some lore in there so it wouldn't be like getting a random Goobbue. I understand how the news and dev posts make it seem that way though. I am just happy for the option and the derpyness (I know its not a real word) makes them something fun to have.

Hopefully later when we get more mounts we can choose what one we want to be put on the micro menu so that we do not have a whole bunch of little icons.

1.20b wasn't a patch, it was a hot fix for the brands and several other things with a surprise rolled in. 1.21 is the next big patch.

I like my goobue, I will enjoy riding him infront of people in 2.0 that can never get him.

goobbue mount was probably something already coded from the beginning, i don't think they put effort in it. well, that's just my opinion.

to be honest i've started to lose hope at 1.20, that was an actual patch and had almost no content (with STILL unbalanced GC rewards and that stupid moogle pre-quest, bettered a couple of weeks later).

I like my goobue, I will enjoy riding him infront of people in 2.0 that can never get him.

there is nothing to be proud of, lol. it's like an itam mall content (since we are actually paying).
