The first thought I had when I entered this duty was "You're telling me that these mines/caves immediately lead out into a giant open-air factory, and nobody knew about it despite the existence of airships and flying mounts? Hah!"

To be fair, it's in Eulmoran territory. Vauthry's army probably discouraged anyone else from flying nearby, and the machines probably took care of anyone who actually got that close. No survivors means no witnesses.

Also, y'know, flying machines ain't cheap. And they've had a century of sin eaters trying to kill them all, so there were more immediate concerns.
