The point still stands though, you said you would give them a chance then removed them without that chance actually being given. You betrayed your own principals, you went against your own word because you felt like it, that’s not a fair leader, that’s a tyrant. How can you say you give everyone the same rules, when you are so willing to bend them to suit your own agenda?
So let me get this straight, in the past you kicked group A, then you found out their friends, group B, were bad mouthing you on a stream because you kicked their friends? Would you be happy if your friends were removed? Can you not understand their frustration? Instead of showing them anger and throwing your power around you should have tried showing them some compassion and being rational. However, you twisted your own power to get what you want, betraying your principles.
Considering you tried talking to them and they removed the vid, and tried to back paddle from it shows to me that they feared you, never respected. Is that not a tyrant?
I only give my opinion as I have had nearly identical situation when I ran a guild in EQ2, but instead of kicking them, they lived up to their chance and actually became officers after a year or two and are still very close friends. We visit each other often. If I did what you did, I would have never had them as friends.
I don’t mean to be rude, and I am sorry if it comes across as that way. I am only giving my opinion on the matter.
