Are you saying it should be 100% chance to make a woolen cowl with already 12 healing pot get two more healing pot materia?I don't really get this... All of the meldable pieces have an empty materia slot that you can fill for free (100% success). Is it not possible to just give a cowl two empty slots? You can still make it 5 max, which seems fair since cowls should have higher base stats anyway.

i don't know how to quote you... but yes, i'd say that's fine. That is the bonus for trading two slots with a possible ten materia for a piece where you can have max 5.
Bottom right there is "Reply with Quote"
So guess Ill make a risk free Woolen Cowl with 52 Healing Potency.

Mages are always saying they don't feel the love. Wanting more mages added to the game. Wishing their magic spells didn't cost so much. Seems like they can use all the help they can get.
Thanks for the info on how to quote... seems obvious... lol
Well if body materia was allowed on cowls with free double meld DoW could also abuse this and have risk free 100+ crit attack. Very few people risk triple melds so majority would do this and I do not want to see everyone on server running around in hoodies lol

Ya, I guess the poor people would run around in hoodies. That would be tiresome to see. It just seems like a fair trade to me due to giving up the extra slots on the headpiece. I see your point though.

gotta love how no one responded to this for a month then rep responded, BAM lol. Anyway thanks for the response Rukkirii, I imagine it has to do with how the database stores what gear attaches to what gear and havent got a a many to many relationship table for it. Shame though as I loved my cowls.

you ppl are crazy
if you somehow fixed the server and were offered the 100% for 2 materia; then:
obv it should be 1 tree (and 100%base) for head materia and 1 tree for body materia....... so a HP/MP/VIT/PIE for body and a healers hand or w/e for head materia would start you off on your 100% melds, if you wanted to add more it would be FORBIDDEN!
