It be just like Doman Enclave after it was totally restored each week we still can turn in items for 200% bonus.

See a lot of misinformation being fed by assumptions and spread around to the weak of mind. To be clear SE at no time ever has said Ishgard housing is coming, in fact the way SE did this is a guarantee it is not. At least for player characters, the npc's are excited and really they should be as it will be residential area for them. Any coincidences that may lead people otherwise are merely coincidences, so this "Mor Dhona/Idyllshire/Doman Enclave resembles a housing district, that may be, just remember SE is made up of World Class trolls, and Yoshi P is their king. They will not hesitate to lead everyone around by the nose hairs for a year then deliver the German Supplex that stomped the Doom Train to the entire community for laughs. Then Yoshi to appear on stage dressed as your mother to add insult to injury. Curb your enthusiasm, and be prepared this stage was intentionally easy to engage the population, the next will be much harder, and I look forward to making a fortune on the lazy again.
People have been requesting Ishgard housing for years, and SE is (or at least should be) aware of this. While yes, it hasn't been confirmed, with all of the correlations (screenshots of the map with potential housing plots and the same zone pathways as other housing districts, not to mention all the heavy hints dropped in NPC dialogue, it would be nothing short of a scummy move for them to not deliver on this. Especially with all the (albeit engaging) work they're having players do. The amount of teasing for Ishgard housing is astronomical, you can't blame people for believing it's coming.See a lot of misinformation being fed by assumptions and spread around to the weak of mind. It's a shame they made a one-time server event like this that could be completed in a less than a week.
I get that servers are going to be racing, but I really think there should be a generic fate or something on a 8 or 16 hour timer so people can experience the content (at least some of it).

by the looks of the burnt out parts of the map it will very likely end with a housing district but despite what yoshi said about it "depending on the players"
It looks like it's gated in such a way that it will take like a year of patches before completion is even a thing
the turn in guys will probably still be there but by then no one will care anymore or they might just move them to the new diadem thing to keep the housing area the same as the rest
I think the turn-in guys will remain there even if the Firmament is converted to a housing zone. The (now defunct) Diadem turn-in guys are still present in all housing zones, so I guess this will happen as well.

They arent totally defunct, since you can now get the tokens to trade with them from Ishgard scrips.
