Can materia for head piece's be used for Cowl's? If not I think it should as it is effectively your head piece and body.

I apologize for the late reply Eruantien! I was able to get a response from the dev. team about the good points that you brought up.
We first asked the dev. team if they would be able to allow cowls to attach both head and body materia. They let us know that this unfortunately wasn't a possibility with the system.
The question we followed up with was is if they could allow cowls to attach head materia instead of body materia and they said that they are looking into if it would be possible.

There is also the issue of Eyewear going in the Head Slot but not being able to attach any materia to Eyewear pieces.
Omg that would be amazing you could get that cure potency cowl and add so much more potency to it!!
OMG THE CUTENESS
I like how cowls look, but in my experience Hat+ Body is generally better for stats/def.
Especially since you lose a materia slot as well.

What non-dated eyewear can you not meld headgear materia to? I'll admit, I haven't tried to meld to anything to eyewear, but it seems odd that this would apply to anything...
I don't really get this... All of the meldable pieces have an empty materia slot that you can fill for free (100% success). Is it not possible to just give a cowl two empty slots? You can still make it 5 max, which seems fair since cowls should have higher base stats anyway.
