I realized none of the FFXIV races appeal to me, anyone else?

No not Loli's, I think? I did play Elin in Tera, Lyn in Blade and Soul and Dwarves in a couple of other games but some people would also call all those Loli's so ehm. I don't know!

Ah I see! I also played those races and super adorable so no worries!

It would help overall if the CC was better than what we have.
With all those F2P games out there, they sure do have a better CC. :/
I hope somewhere down the line, they actually expand on the current
races and just give us a whole new box of things to play with.
Just a sticker or so on the face isn't my idea of jazzing things up on my character
and even then I'm limited to adding more than 1 face options.

With the way they're handling Viera/Ronso, I just don't even know anymore.

I'm in the same boat myself, more or less. I like short (5 foot or so tall) elven types (pointed ears) personally, but both Lalafell and Elezen fail to hit the right height range for me leaving me stuck playing as the most acceptable backup race, a Miqo'te, and only because it and Au'ra are the only two that can hit 5 feet or so tall, Hyur are close but still felt a bit to tall for me when I tried playing as one.

I use to be hopeful SE would add some kind of half-elezen race for us to play as, but between them most likely never adding any more races and the fact that a half blood of two races that I found to be to tall would likely also be to tall even at minimum hight leaves me with little hope of ever seeing a half-elezen race or that I would even enjoy it if it was added since I wouldn't be able to be as short as I want to be as one. So sadly I will likely be a Miqo'te till my last day on this game.

Side note before anyone starts flinging the over used "lolicon" tag at me: No, I do not want a loli race. Being short and being child-like are two different things. I like my girl to have a more mature body, B to C cup sized chest (45/100 on the Miqo'te sliders atm), curves in the right places, mature facial features, stuff like that, all while still being around 5 feet or so tall.

I used to fantasia a lot until Viera came out. It's a little bit non-human, but not as cutesy as Miqo'te or Au Ra. Plus their expressions just look so much better in cutscenes.
I don't use hats and helmets that much anyway, but I am missing my old hairstyles. I'm clinging onto the distant hope that they release the unlockable ones later.

I was a fantasia addict when i started playing. Nothing was really me until i settled on male Miqo'te after the Nine hairstyle from FF Type-0 came out sometime in Heavensward. I haven't played around with fantasias since, because it was exactly the look i was going for.

I would have rolled Elezen initially, because i'm usually a sucker for elves, but i wasn't a fan of how elongated their limbs are, nor was i a fan of their faces.

I actually started out as a fem-midlander, lost interest in the character, went male-midlander, stopped being interested again (I normally don't like playing plain old humans in RPGs anyway). Then i tried female miqo'te, but i don't really like their faces/proportions, then tried Male miqo'te, but they didn't really have any hairstyles i liked, so i bailed on that, and went back to male Hyur until HW, then i was a female Au Ra for a while, then a male Au Ra, then a male Hyur again, then a a male Elezen, then a male Miqo'te again, then a male Hyur again, then that hairstyle finally came out and i saw a male Miqo'te with it and thought it looked great, so i went back to Miqo'te and stayed there.

And i'm almost certain i forgot some of the other ones a long the way, there was a female highlander somewhere in there.

I'm usually an elf in every fantasy RPG or MMO I play. Started an Elezen way back in 2013. Shelved her and rerolled a Hyur. Even though I find playing a human boring in most other fantasy games, my Hyur just had the look I was going for and she's perfect for me.

And I actually have to disagree about the other races. Usually I don't play any kind of "furry" race, but I love the way Miqote look so I couldn't resist. I have like three of them now. And Au Ra, particularly the females, are simply gorgeous. My Au Ra ninja is so fitting and makes me want to play that toon constantly.

There are certain things about every race that doesn't appeal to me, but that happens with every game that offers different race. I change race several times as well in WoW and SWTOR (although I've currently been content with Chiss in SWTOR for some time now), so I'm glad that fantasia in FFXIV is not more expansive than it could be. (I don't consider myself a fantasia addict, but I do use it several times.)

Been a Miqo since the start and will probably be one till the end. That said, I could see myself with an Aura, Hyur or Viera too. Even though I'm pretty happy with my Miqo I would still love to see an update at some point with updated character models and more customization options, particularly in terms of body shape.
