Yay! So now I can go talk to NPC, get my horn, call Gobbue and stand around and do nothing. Thanks SE.

It's a lettered patch. It's not supposed to have tons of content in it and no one is expecting some sort of epic adventure. But it smacks of just plain laziness (perhaps forced on them by the chronic spoonfeeding required by the Lodestone community?) to just have an NPC puke a Goobbue in your lap.
