Same! I like this guy♥ undercut me fine but at least undercut me by a worthy amount not 1 damn gil T_T
I'm the most pro newb ever!

So, you get pissed off for someone to just lower the price by 1 Gil to sell faster, but not for someone tanking your price by hundreds of thousands and forcing you to lose profit?
I mean, the 1 Gil undercutters aren't affected at all if you undercut them by loads. They'll just undercut you by 1 Gil again.
It used to annoy me when people would undercut me by 1 gil. And I would do the same thing you're doing. Then I realized I was only causing myself to lose gil. Why tank the market for an item because someone undercut you by 1 gil? That's like slashing the tires on your car because someone scratched the paint.
I really don't care about the gil. I just wanna sell it first - by any means. Besides, these items are usually inflated to hell because they are scarcely sold.It used to annoy me when people would undercut me by 1 gil. And I would do the same thing you're doing. If you don't care about the gil, then sell it to the vendor. Don't crash the market for an item if you don't care about the gil.
And items are inflated past their market value, they won't sell.
It's just a matter of finding a specific niche and focusing on it. At the moment, HQ turn ins for levequests are selling for a lot of gil. Furniture is also in fairly high demand, I've been selling an easy to make item for 80K a pop.
I also gather a Timeworn Zonureskin Map on a daily basis, which sells for anywhere between 50k - 100k. In short, it's still very possible to make a tidy profit.
Why would I sell it to a vendor, such a waste.
Besides, if I want the item now I can buy multiple cheap.
Because, in your own words...So which is it? Do you care or don't you? You proved my point that it's wasting gil. Tanking the market wastes gil that you could be getting the same way selling to a vendor does. Only difference is the amount wasted.
We aren't talking about buying items, though.
You're taking me way too literally.Because, in your own words...So which is it? Do you care or don't you? You proved my point that it's wasting gil. Tanking the market wastes gil that you could be getting the same way selling to a vendor does. Only difference is the amount wasted.

Bag of Booty probably isn't a good example though.
Crafting mats would be a better example.
You lower the price to buy the items.
You tank the market so they are cheap.
I'm taking you at your word. You said you don't care, but then prove you do.
Buying them is irrelevant, though. Crashing the market benefits no one. The price of the product of the crafting materials isn't going to change because you crashed the market on the materials. You're only causing yourself to lose.
Why? It's not going to change the price of the product being made. You're just losing money for no reason.
