I've noticed that tanks still do not want to large pull whenever i play AST. Kind of sad.
WHM and SCH? Let's go go go, but AST? It's like "Is this single pull too much? should i slow down? Do you need a minute?"
They should really attach a debuff to gravity or something, like holy has, so that i can contribute to the group's damage more easily on large pulls and mitigate damage that way. Like add blind or something.
Even after AST buffs, I end up dying much more often on pulls with AST than I do with any other healer when I tank. After multiple wipes trying a big pull with different ASTs, I've completely stopped trying with them; it's just not worth it when the ratio of success/failure is less than favorable.I've noticed that tanks still do not want to large pull whenever i play AST. I'm not talking a few GCDs when no raidwide damage is being put out. The healing was not happening except bare minimum AoE (usually this was just Medica II only) and self heals. The AST was new to the raid, and was dead relatively often with the WHM letting them sit there for long stretches. I definitely do not blame this AST, because it was clear they were trying. The point when I decided I had had it with the WHM was when the tank, the WHM and one dps were the only ones alive. LB3 was ready. I watched the WHM spend the next 6 GCD casting Glare and then die because they weren't even healing themself at that point. Another alliance raised our AST who then used LB3 immediately. It was at this point that I started to heal myself so that someone could provide quick raises after the inevitable no-healing deaths, because the WHM sure as heck wasn't doing their job. Period. I'd be careful comparing your gameplay to that of this WHM, because if your gameplay is anything like theirs then you're a bad healer too. While refusing to res and not healing the tank are big red flags, I'll happily let the group sit at 20% if theres no incoming raidwide in the next few gcds. And as for not healing avoidable damage... well, just stop messing up mechanics and it wouldnt be an issue.
Also even if your ast was new, theyre still responsible for healing, too. No spot heals and letting the party sit low is on both of them, not just the WHM.
I swear Celestial Opposition used to stun or something. Like it was the AST Assize.I've noticed that tanks still do not want to large pull whenever i play AST. Kind of sad.

I really don't like drive-by insults/pot shots. I wasn't on the receiving end, but the co-tank decided to say to the main tank "get good voke kid" right before bailing. Like really...?
I don't like em either. But if you're going to talk crap, at least stick around and give the other person a chance to come back at you. What a punk.
No, let them so then after that you can report them.
Then you'll get the last laugh.
I reported someone years ago for them being a jerk
and got contacted by a GM who reassured me actions would be taken.
Tee hee!

Mild PSA:
If you join a Copied Factory in-progress and the group is about to pull Engels, don't take the flight down to the platform. Wait for the arena to be sealed off first so you can just auto-warp in.
I didn't do that and I got a drill to the face for my troubles. Much of the alliance saw me drop right as I landed on the platform with no time to react. D:
(I think I got like 2 pity comms for that though, ha)
"Consider this old adage: When a Bard sings alone in a desert, and no one is around to hear him... Is he truly singing?"
Its Cards. Setting up card buffs when you've been used to how it worked for the last two expansions is jarring. And clunky. Especially trying to execute a flawless Sleeve Draw. They helped a little by making each card also automatically trigger either Lord or Lady of Crowns but making sure you have aggro then trying to make sure each party member gets the correct card while also trying to make sure you have a perfectly mixed sequence for horosco--oops. Someone's dead.Even after AST buffs, I end up dying much more often on pulls with AST than I do with any other healer when I tank. Its sad because I feel like I just got to the point where using the cards was intuitive for me and now we're basically using math flash cards. :\
