Thanks guys! How much do people really care about gear in XIV? I don't really have the money to afford a completely new gear set (though I could make the money pretty fast, I s'pose). I've noticed that a lot of the next "teir" of gear is 40-42. Should I upgrade then, or try to wait until the 46-48 gear which will hopefully last until I get some endgame items?

for cnj maybe just upgrade your wand, dont worry about the gear though. also the lvl 25 dungeon drops a nice cnj wand that will take you all the way to 50.
