Don't you just get sucked back to your own platform eventually no matter how you get to the "wrong" platform? IDGI, I mean, half the people jumping in place is funny, but... huh?

If you try to jump to the other platform, you'll fall to your death because there's a giant gap between them. That's the joke.

I mean, your corpse will get thrown back up eventually. Which doesn't help if everyone capable of raising jumped.
Bad day to be on machinist instead of my usual red mage, I guess.

First, I generally really like the community of this game. Many people I meet in dungeons or trials are very nice, except a few bad apples of course...but you always get those, so it's fine. Some people however really irk me with their behavior.
When I was farming Hades ex today with a friend and randoms everything started out normally until after some time in P1 my friend told me that they'd started to lag very badly. They also wrote this in the party chat after they died and said they wanted to relog, but the others kept going with the fight, which was fine since we somehow managed to get to P3, despite the lags. I didn't experience any lags and my friend told me their lags had gotten much better, however once we entered the final stage of P3, I suddenly dc'd. All of a sudden, I was out of the game and back at the title screen.
I always start to panic when something like this happens, because I really hate to cause any inconvenience to my group. When I finally got back into the game the party was in P4 already, but of course with dead people on the ground and one dd missing entirely the damage was too low, and we died to Hades' enrage. Like the nervous wreck I am, I wrote that I'd leave the party now because of the dc, and that I was so deeply sorry for ruining the run for everyone.. when the leader answered pretty angrily how I already DID ruin it, my apology would be worthless, that the wipe was entirely my fault and how my friend and I dare to waste his time, since we were oh so terrible. Low and behold, before any of us could leave, we were kicked out and put on bl.
I know that it sucks if something like that happens in a farming party. People want to do their smooth runs to get over with the chore asap and I get that. But it still hurts if you get blamed so much for something you have no control over and even get put on blacklist for a dc...I know it might be stupid to keep thinking about a minor occurrence like this, but I just can't help it sometimes..![]()
Me too, Erenville, me too

Yeah, the "wasting my time" argument, in which only *their* needs or desires or time matters but YOU need to be more considerate of others. Even when there's an honest mistake or something beyond your control and you've apologized. People like that could crack walnuts with their rear ends if their rear ends wouldn't shatter first.the leader answered pretty angrily how I already DID ruin it, my apology would be worthless, that the wipe was entirely my fault and how my friend and I dare to waste his time, since we were oh so terrible. Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.
Agreed. If I had a situation like Aniise's, I'd do exactly that in this situation. It's not like they cut their connection on purpose to ruin the run. It was an accident, like you say: Beyond their control. The party leader was beyond unreasonable with his reaction.Yeah, the "wasting my time" argument, in which only *their* needs or desires or time matters but YOU need to be more considerate of others. I started play about 3.5 months ago-ish, with a now former friend of mine. Throughout the MSQ, up until about half-way through the SB post-launch patch content, I would ask her how I did, as I was new to the game, despite having a lot of tanking experience in WoW. The answer was always "You did fine" until the dungeon in the 4.1 content (Drowned City of Skalla?) which we both entered blind, due to me being new, and her quitting in 4.0.
The final boss, she (healer) went down, followed by the two DPS at about 10-15%. I strap on my big girl tanking boots, showing off my shiny new TBN, and abusing the hell out of Souleater and Abyssal Drain, dodging AoEs to the encouragement of one of the DPS.
Then I lost focus, ate too many AoEs, and died at below 5%. I was furious with myself for losing focus, as the fight itself wasn't too bad. After we rezzed and finished the dungeon, my healer friend's first words out of the dungeon were "Holy **** you can tank"
Felt good
My favorite thing about returning to the game when there's a new 24 man raid with a highly desired cosmetic item is that most people know the place like the back of their hand within the first few days, and i have had 0 issues running it so far, as opposed to every other 24 man raid that has ever been made.
World of Darkness 1st boss? How do i alternate sides when there's only two colors to pay attention to.
Void Ark plant boss? Kill the bees? Nah.
Rabanastre 2nd boss? Good god, People couldn't figure out how to side step the mechanics
