No More Big Pulls in Dungeons

I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant here...

It irks me greatly when I'm in a dungeon duty and a tank is pulling multiple skirmishes at once, even as much as an entire leg of a dungeon. This is neither smart nor effective, especially if a healer cannot contribute to the damage dealing because (s)he is too busy trying to keep everybody alive and expending his/her entire MP pool in the process. It's even more irritating when I as a tank am being asked to pull more than one skirmish, and people start getting salty or even quitting because they don't like my pace.

IT'S NOT A RACE, PEOPLE!!! When you do a dungeon, you are committed to it for 90 minutes, and while it should never take nearly that long with a decent party, there's no need to attempt to blitz through it and risk a wipe, either. Stop trying to be a hero, and concentrate your attacks on one enemy at a time! I guarantee, they will go down a lot quicker individually, than if you try to take out 213128901 of them at once.

OF is a meme and it's too grey to be helped. So I'm not going to try anymore.

I mean the only time I had issues with contributing to DPS as a healer was during the MSQ grind, but that's just because SCH had MP issues at the time. I actually get tremendously bored during single pulls because as a SCH I have so much in my arsenal that it would literally take the tank eating excessive AOE's and not using their cooldowns properly to make healing a challenge.

That said if you tank, you set the pace. I'd prefer a faster dungeon experience as a healer but if you're not comfortable I'd rather not risk a wipe.

Maybe its because aoe is fun and satisfying.

And if you're playing healer you're less likely to fall asleep.

I have ran over 9000 dungeons, nearly all of them as a tank or healer. I can assure you that there is nothing dangerous in doing these big pulls, you are not risking a wipe, and the healer still can contribute to damage, especially when the healer is a WHM. And even if he can't dps, the run should still be quicker overall thanks to the AoE damage of the other roles.

I am not saying that big pulls are the best thing ever, often they are not even faster than single pulls, but they are safe and the community wants them and well, majority rules.

As I said, when you do a dungeon, you've made a commitment for the next 90 minutes. If you cannot handle that commitment, then why are YOU in the queue...?

If a dungeon is taking 90 minutes then you have bigger problems on your hands than an aversion to bigger pulls.

If you're not capable of tanking a dungeon leg in the game's current state, or dpsing as a healer on large pulls, just roll a DPS. Ain't no one got time for your slow A pulls. YOU ARE THE MINORITY, and if YOU can't get that, then why que?

Hmm, I don't recall reading anywhere that says I've forced to make a commitment for up to 90 minutes. I think your just making this up.

I'm afraid I must disagree with you. I too have run thousands of dungeons, and I have been in instances where the tank has pulled far too many enemies at once, and the healer cannot keep up with the demands to keep the tank on his/her feet. Therefore, the risk of a wipe is very real and they are NOT safe.
