Hmm, I don't recall reading anywhere that says I've forced to make a commitment for up to 90 minutes. I think your just making this up.
Major oof.
SCH -> Adlo + Excog (EOS BONUS!)
WHM -> Powerful af regens, assize, asylum, tetra, etc.
AST -> Powerful regens too.
It's quicker with big pulls, and ShB gave AOEs to EVERYONE.
It shouldn't even be a question. Though I understand this entire thread is meant as a troll. Even if I respond to it seriously, it should be common sense that each mob in a dungeon will take the same amount of damage to kill regardless of whether you fight 1 at a time or 15 at a time. Their HP values remain constant. Therefore as long as your healer can keep up with incoming damage, the combined aoe damage from your dps will far outweigh the total damage you could accomplish over the same period of time in small packs.
I as a tank am scared and panic real easy. I work best in the back, hitting people with rocks (Or light now I suppose) and beams of ancient destruction, while also keeping everyone alive. Though as a tank, I fully understand that everyone with me, has a life. I prefer not to waste anyone's time. So I push past my fear and always strive to at least do normal pulls in every dungeon. (Two mobs) This isn't just about your feelings. Everyone is playing this game too. As a leader, you want to get your team in and out as quickly and safely as you can. That means trusting your healer, and pulling what you both can handle. Aoe damage is a thing. And it helps. Trust me.

I smell a troll post
My worry isn't the OP. My worry is the 30 people who upvoted them.
If you can't do a section of a dungeon in one go, then start by cutting the pull size just in half.
Still big, more manageable for a healer.
And at the end of the day, it all depends on the group composition and level of the duty, in Sastasha and comparable, you might not yet have AoE in a group, while at 50 or higher? You can pretty much be assured to have AoE available.
The speed of the dungeon is indeed a precedent set by the tank. However, if you have DPS & healers in your group who care geared well enough to be able to handle big pulls you are simply not playing your role correctly. I have put up with this type of tank before (who disregards everyone else) but I also have been known to just simply take the penalty and leave. Just sayin, you have a very unpopular opinion.
