Somehow this game's engine is so limited and locked down that they simply can't add simple things like beards. It seems it's a huge deal to even add just 1.
They need to improive and revise the graphic's engine and the code of this game to add more character customization options.
They also never added body tattoos and body scars.
I hope they realise that the game needs a gprahic update.
Things like high res textures can be outsourced as well.
They need to invest FFXIV one of the most important sources of income for SE and in order to stay competitive they need to upgrade it sooner or later.
The hyur facial hair was a huge tease and they would never implement it into the benchmark unless they didn't plan to add it later in game.

True. Yoshi's comments indicate they realise it and are even considering it (he even jokingly suggested it himself during the panel with Ayumi Namae), but it's a big expenditure... nonetheless, the game character models are really beginning to look dated, and I agree that it's an investment they should undertake.

We can't get even a simple thing as small as little scruffs like that.
I wonder if they will ever add anything else for any other race.

They make it like it's so darn hard to even add EYEBROWS to guylanders.
It's so very funny but as equally sad.
