Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Is it possible to provide a screenshot of the error message? Do you notice any patterns to the crashes (Only happens in certain areas or while doing certain actions, etc.)?

I'd suggest trying some of the following in order to try and alleviate the issue:

    1) Try a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers.

    2) Disable any overlays that may be preset. Close any unnecessary programs while playing the game.

    3) Try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

    4) Reinstall the game. When you do, make sure to remove the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Be sure to make a backup of this just in case it doesn't resolve the issue.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

There is no error message, it just crashes straight to desktop.

Main things that cause it: Loading into a new zone, Loading the game after the character select, and sometimes just standing still will result in a game Crashing to Desktop with Zero error messages.

I'll try the steps you listed.
