Viera Helmets in 5.1

I miss my Viera. They are pretty, but they are also pretty limited right now in their current state. The fact that the devs haven’t talked about the new races getting new hairstyles or purchased and in-game earned ones, with no recent talk about making more headgear wearable by them pretty much leaves me to believe they are in development hell with the rest of the summoner egis, more veteran rewards, and DNC/GNB primal glamor weapons.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Like I said, the races are a major sore spot for me. Been playing since 1.0 and I've been waiting for Vieras since Yoshi took over and included them in the survey he did a long long time ago. To seem them presented in such an unfinished state is so disheartening. However, being a defeatist and an antagonist wouldn't make Lord Jesus Christ happy, and so it doesn't make me happy with myself. It really helps to take a second, a step back, and reassess things when I get so bummed out and frustrated. A lot of the times when I do that, I realize how I'm really the badguy in the story.

Of course, not trying to push that on anyone else. Still, I think it's worth a discussion or some thought if people are interested. Thanks again for taking the time to read it

I completely agree! Personally, a counterpoint I'd often use is, well it's their job. However, it's hard to really narrow the problem down to such a simple explanation. The MMO market is such a nasty and expensive field to do business in, at any moment the house of cards could fall. The alternative would really be to shutdown FFXIV. I don't think anyone wants that. So, they have to keep building additions to the house, but additions in case of expansions are again a gamble every time due to the expensive nature of the MMO system (servers, employee pay, designers, artists, travel for promotion, marketing, modellers, community reps and managers, etc etc). The expense is just... ridiculous. If we go along the terms of, well if you're going to risk your business, don't do it - then again... there would be no MMO's to date most likely.

So, I much prefer the other option, encouragement and upholding a standard for the devs to meet

There is one full helmet the Viera can wear the level 58 dwarf helmet with the beard.

Honestly Id just love a couple of good witch hats that let the ears through. Like, easy to get ones that you don't have to pay for. Glad theyre keeping it in mind at least. Its appreciated. ^^

Honestly if resources are an issue they should just consider asking the modder community for help in return for free gametime or crysta. No joke some of the stuff they have is really good not to mention some really nice original stuff that could be added to the game.

I heard that FF14 is one of their biggest moneymakers, but the money made is being siphoned off too much for other projects, leaving FF14 devs with not much to work with.
It's annoying, as Viera and Hrothgar feel so unfinished, and it's annoying seeing every new helmet not working for them.

I don't get why Viera ears clipping through headgear is such a stumbling block when Miqo'te ears and Au Ra horns have been doing it for years.
