This is just me, but it's because the trust characters don't do much dps and make the run longer.

In Holminster switch and playing as a crappy summoner myself, I was doing about 6.6k and the other scions added up to 7.313k, which isn't that bad but honestly I don't want to spend longer than needed repeating the same mechanics on the same boss just because the dps is too low.

Insta queue as DPS vs. the 10-20 minutes you would wait otherwise more than makes up for slow Scions.

Well I did my run on patch day so it was like a 5 minute queue, plus waiting in queue doesn't really bother me because there are other things to do in the meantime.

5 minute queue won't always be the case.

Just got dismissed from Grand Cosmos while I was tanking.

First thing I said was "Slow and steady, only done it once so far."

Healer proceeded to pull everything anyway, so I didn't tank the extra junk.

It earned me a dismissal.

I would’ve hit yes for that vote. Adjust to your party, don’t expect them to adjust to you.

Refusing to raise an incompetent player isn't being rude, especially because as a dps, you probably missed a ton of other annoying crap they did. Raising them would mean probably little dps gain and way more annoyance and babysitting by that healer. Not to mention, the thing I said a few posts above yours? Trusts exist for a reason, and that's to help people who have no situational awareness learn the mechanics before impacting others.

The only thing I noticed them doing badly was them doing single target skills during aoe pulls, other than that they were doing fine, it was their first death and it was because of an honest mistake.

I don't have as much awareness as a healer when I dps but I have enough awareness to know when people are in danger of dying to mechanics and I need to tactician to help them to survive, or just when to mitigate.

Also the healer only healed with bubbles and the WHM skill that did damage and heals at the same time, not counting trash pulls, it was just a glare spamfest on their part even when everyone was 40% health.

Is there just this thing where new tanks aren't allowed to learn the dungeon as it goes? Where do you stop on mass pulls? Is there a wall ahead? How would the tank know?

Directly from their post, it wasn’t their first run in that dungeon. Also, they’ve had their account since at least 2015. I assume this is not their first time at “end game” casual content.
Pulling everything should be an old hat to them at this point. You either adjust to what your party wants or you get removed. The party wanted big pulls so the tank got the boot. It’s a tale as old as time and baby pulling tanks in expert dungeons get no sympathy from me.

Edit - For the record, I rarely ever ask baby pulling tanks to step it up or start pulling more because the confrontation is not even worth it. I don’t even try to remove these sissy tanks. I adjust to what the party wants.

But the tank in question isn’t innocent. Letting people die or wiping the group to prove a point (don’t pull for me QQ) is when I would start the vote kick.

PLD can solo all dungeon bosses in ShB. Everyone else just makes it faster. I’m not even kidding. Party had to eat an Apocalypse to the face due to lacklustre DD (all side platforms destroyed) and healer that was new.

The healer stayed dead instead of home pointing to learn mechanics. I decided, meh, I’ll probably die soon enough....

15 minutes later, boss was dead and I’m scratching my head.

You keep saying the party but Malmstrom said the healer. The healer does not count as the entire party. Which brings me to the point, why couldn't the healer adjust to what the tank wanted? Why does it only work one way?
