    You physically can't be flooded with 10,000 icons with only a few 5x5 bags. Visual colourful icon cues is always faster than line of texts (unless you are blind or among a few exceptions).

    Mod yourself an UI with list and tabs then, they'll add support to custom mods anyway (if they won't support the choice of both list display and icon display).

    no it isnt. in wow with many different coloured icon as well as shared/or simlar icons you can be looking for 5 minutes hovering mouse over all the items and still miss it.

    Yeah bags and icon's is dumb. Have a nice list with a small icon next to the name of the item, guarantee that would be 1000% faster to find items.

    Plus, icons in 5x5 bags with a controller is going to be a nightmare.
