Waiting til you "need" things is how you get WHMs that hold tetra and bene forever. She should see regular use when youre not specifically preplanning for a healing intensive phase.

Agreed. Why should I put myself through that much frustration when I can just back out and do some crafting or gathering. The queue will always come back even after the penalty if I leave. That time I spend taking care of people like that can't be gotten back however.<-- Gay man, i just liked the post because they did exactly what i would do, when the penalty feels better than the alternative something is wrong yay they are mitigating it for ShB dungeons, SB/HW ones are still going to be prone to ilv cheesing with wrong job accessories

Sometimes...lol...I really want to reach through some of these tanks screens and slap them in the back of their head. Why queue as a tank and refuse to tank?? I thought this whole tankxiety thing was a meme but wow the amount of chicken these tanks play for MT/OT is exhausting. PULL ALREADY!!![]()

So you know that new min ilvl requirement they slapped on dungeons HW and up? It doesn't help much.
Got on sch, rolled leveling roulette, got the Vault. Party comp was PLD, SCH, MNK, DNC. I immediately notice that the tank's hp is a bit low and check them...to see that they had a mishmash of unaugmented ironworks gear for head hands and feet, the lvl 56 quest gear pieces for body and legs; and what looked like a mixup of random 50-55 gear pieces for the accessories. He strangely enough had a gloam choker on.
First pack the tank forgets to turn on tank stance, and the mnk and dnc lose a good chunk of their hp. Tank only popped a handful of cooldowns and I could see how quickly their hp was going. Once that trash pack was down, I begged him to turn on his tank stance, to which we're at the next set and then he remembers to turn it on, commenting about 'how stupid level sync was'.
I realize at this point that their only job after checking them again, was 60 pld. Oh god I'm in for a fun ride.
During the dungeon up until the second boss, every time I would pop adlo on him it would almost immediately be gone, Galvanize would cover half his hp and would be ripped to shreds in moments. I felt bad since I was constantly having to heal a tank that kept dipping between 40-60% on normal pulls that I didn't get much time to dump out broils.
Second boss for some reason the dnc and mnk have a game to whoever can get more vuln stacks and live. DNC won with 8. Luckily no one managed to walk into another Dome Depot left on the floor.
Last boss Heat Meiser was banking more damage on the tank (we didn't get lucky with any of the chests dropping tank pieces), and his pimpslap fireball on the tank would bring him down to 1/4th hp faster than I'm used to seeing. Naturally the fight went on longer than expected, and I was riding on Lucid and Aetherflow to keep my mp up so I could keep the party alive. Once he finally went down, I passed on loot, commed the mnk since they were the least of my mp problems, and started to type in party chat to the pld about how he should upgrade his gear...only to see him yeet himself out of the instance. *sigh*
Got two comms, but if that pld is reading this, please update your gear. Ironworks is only really good until 53. Vault is the dungeon that stares you down and asks if you genuinely are prepared for the pounding you are about to receive.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
For me, it's because I honestly forget the skill exists. Can someone explain to me why I never see other Scholar using Seraph? Like not even in a direct nuke, consolation healing sort of way. It's like the skill is diseased? Like don't get me wrong I find Seraph finnicky even with the changes but it's like the button doesn't even exist - and after trying to co-heal with other SCH's for the past few months it just flabbergasts me. I can count on one hand the number of people who use it.
Dissipation is in a similar boat. Not Fey Union, though, the big gauge with numbers kind of reminds me "Hey, do this thing", but for the other two capstone skills... they just sort of fade from memory.

To anyone who may have been in the Trial Roulette (Sephirot) I was just in.... I really did DC.
I totally spaced out and completely walked off the edge of the platform... no excuse beyond lack of attention. After I died I say in party chat "wow I am dumb". Then.... screen freezes and I dc. Could not reconnect for like 2 mins... at which point they have already finished the trial and left. I DID NOT INTENTIONALLY ABANDON YOU.

I have healed Innocence, Titania and Amaurot. With SCH. Pretty much forgetting Seraph's existence. Was it efficient? Noooo. But using my knowledge of SCH pre ShB I was able to do it. Definitely needs work on my part but generally the skills themselves are good enough that I usually kind of forget about the pet. Without too much hardship. Then again, I pretty much just stick to casual content. *Shrug*
