I'm surprised no one said anything about people essentially getting a tank at 60 (Gunbreaker) without having a tank leveled. Hell of a time to learn how to tank.

I would think healer mains would know best what the tank job needs to do since they are the ones having to keep them alive. At least that was the case for me. Situational awareness of the field helps a lot.
Actually, I think some people lack "common logic" and "Thinking".
What I mean is, you are a Tank, you are supposed to have monster focused on you (That's the 1st and most important point of all). BUT People seems to don't activate Enmity stance OR (For a really incredible reason) keep turning it on and off (This was really happening to me in a dungeon, and the tank actually said he was 8 years old. Please, don't let your children play the game unless they have grown a little more. The content of this game isn't for them.)
So, people complain about how tank don't do their jobs. I will not complain, well not exactly, for the same thing.
It's not that they don't do their job, it's more that they don't wan't to or can't to.
Let me explain :
The first thing, the very fundamental thing you HAVE to do is.... Read your spell and test it... ANNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD Nope, people don't do this. Readind is too mainstream now a day, and people that got years of gaming can't understand that (All of this is a joke).
Seriously, I think people don't even understand what they are doing because they just don't read spell properly and don't use their mind for imagine what use of it they can make (Yeah it's a REALLY rare ability you can call ANTICIPATION). When I was reading my skills, I have immediatly understand what use they have, and by using them multiple time, I learned how to get the maximum of efficiency from them. That's how mastering a "Classes" is. But not how mastering a "Role" is.
But i'm going far away from the subject I think.
Their is a lot of player who don't actually now what they MUST DO when they got a classes. What a TANK is, What a DPS or a Healer is supposed to do. Sadly, it's only cause of one reasons.
They don't read.
But I've seen some post here, and yes, some are quite founded but not at 100% :
The fact that people take immediatly a lvl 60 tank, for exemple, is not actually making 100% of them bad. Some of them, with a very low %, were tank on other game and Should understand what the job is supposed to do. So they are supposed to, at least, take enmity and don't put their friend in danger. An other % have seen what tank do, and try to copy them, BUT a large portion of them are bad, because they copy bad technic from them. And the most large % is the part were people take a classe just because it's looks cool and doesn't even care what they are doing, BECAUSE GUNBLADE.
Getting a GNB while I heal is a nightmare for me because over half the time they have trash gear, or don't know how to use cooldowns. Honestly, GNB should have been handed to people who have a +60 tank instead of a DPS.
A bit of a story.
While i was leveling my SMN i leveled one set of Trusts to 80. And i thought, hey, let's level the other 3. I already have DRK at 80, so i decided to pick up another tank, so not to run dungeons over and over for no reason, other than leveling NPCs. And i picked GNB, since it starts at 60. Class unlocked, yay. "Here's 2 hotbars worth of abilities, figure it out yourself" said the game and that's pretty much it. I got my old Augmented Shire set, and then went to figure out how the class works. Basic combo, cartridge system, what abilities do, etc etc. So, yeah, that's likely a factor.
Sometimes rumors are just... rumors.
