They really need to do something to speed up the MSQ roulette

I really had a hell of a time yesterday because I was in the middle of a praetorium run listening to Gaius ramble, and the daycare center kept calling me telling me to come pick my kid up. I didn't know what to tell them, because the run wasn't even halfway over yet. By the time I was out of my run (and like 6 calls later) I finally got down there to pick him up they were real mad at me because I guess the lady had to stay way over because my kid was still there and she couldn't leave.

Anyway, I was thinking maybe they could just have the cutscenes play at like, 1.5x speed just to make the pace a bit faster. I think people would still have enough time to appreciate the cutscenes, and it wouldn't take so long for busy players like me.

MSQ dungeon runs don't take that long. If you had to pick up your kid from the daycare (assuming that story is even true at all), it's not like you were stuck playing for 4 hours. It doesn't even take an hour, so if you sat down to play FFXIV knowing you'd have to pick up your kid soon, that's a you problem, and has nothing to do with the game.

A lot of players don't even need the exp though. I'm just in it for the moogle tomestones at this point.

Or at the very least check to see who have cleared and allow those to skip cutscenes but lock us out of the boss rooms.
The cutscenes are damn ridiculous and not even joking gives me anxiety at times having to endure Gaius or Cid ramble on and talk slooowly and not able to do anything else.
The xp is good but once a week is enough for me, i would rather fate grind or like do anything else

Cid and Gaius basically hold you hostage at gunpoint in these instances.

I think the MSQ Rolettes should enable Skip Cutscenes if there's no First Timer Bonus up, there's no reason to cutscene skip being locked if everyone already got it cleared.
