That as well, but seeing how unlikely SE will want to do that, i think my idea is a good compromise. Well a friend of mine's idea but i had the same thoughts,, lol
I know this is a troll post but some people will agree with this.
The changes were brought in for new players, not repeat attendees. Playing the cutscenes at high speed would damage the storytelling.
If you don't like msq roulette, then don't do it. It's that simple.
Oh boy, we really needed Every MSQ Thread Ever again.
They refuse to get it. The rewards are based on the time it takes and is why Castrum rewards less than Pratorium. If they trim the cutscenes they'll trim the rewards be it experience or moogle tomes.
An old net series the guild (I think i remember that right). In on clip the one mom is talking and she has got kids as close to being locked up and ignored. This post reminds me of that.
There is actually a good reason : to avoid that people begin to make full already-cleared premades just to finish the roulette quicker. Making the waiting queue of new players way much longer, because nobody would want to group with them anymore.
Which would lead to having again the new players missing a part of the duty if once out of cutscenes the trashmobs in the way were already killed, if they become alone with no clue where to go while the group further ahead begin to kill the next boss, etc.Or at the very least check to see who have cleared and allow those to skip cutscenes but lock us out of the boss rooms.
A lot of people seems to have forgotten that the goal of the MSQ roulette is not to get xp or moogle tomes, but to help new players seeing the dutys in their entirety. If you dont feel like doing that just do something else, it is not like the game lacks of other ways to get the same things.
"So my kid split his head open, big deal. What's more important to you, the safety of your children, or EXP chain #6?"
Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
