I'm on board with these changes, setting the last dungeon to base poetic level seems fair, especially as ilevel doesn't actually change all that much in the levelling process.

I don’t see how they could make those ilvl requirements higher already. If they did it would just force new players to either keep grinding the previous dungeons for gear drops or spend tons of money for the gear just so they can progress the story. That wouldn’t be fair, and for what? So they can do wall to walls without a problem? That shouldn’t be the norm. They’re fine as it is. Hardly makes much of a difference in my honest opinion.

The problem is rarely new players. The story throws a new set of gear at you every other level from stormblood onward(possibly from HW onward, but i dont remember those quests quite so well). Yeah, im sure some of those new players sold that extra gear for gil same as i did(i had augmented scaeven, so i started ShB at a higher ilvl then any of these requirements - and i did keep any dungeon drops that were upgrades). But they could just as easily wear enough pieces of it to have their gear level match. To meet the Mt Gulg requirement(so the highest one) they just need to wear a combined set of drops from the Il Mheg/Rak Tika portion of the story or later, augmented with the guaranteed dungeon drops from their 4 mandatory runs(so they can still sell the other 4 sets of gear if they choose). The problem is almost always veteran players who were too lazy to gear up their alt classes. They know where the poetics vendor is, and probly have a pile of tomes sitting in their currency window. Many of them have the gil to just grab the crafted set and be done with it. No, they want to wait til they hit cap to gear up and if that means other players have to suffer then oh well.I don’t see how they could make those ilvl requirements higher already.
