    Good god almighty, for 1400 bucks I could get myself a very good pc, or pay off my car insurance for 6 months, or afford to go to that fancy steakhouse on the beach every weekend for the next couple of months.

    And if you think people won't actually pay that amount. I know several raiders who have made thousands over the years. It's quite remarkable what people with too much disposal income are willing to spend. I suppose it's all relative though. While it may seem ludicrous to someone like you or I, $1,400 means a lot less to someone making seven figures annually.
