What is happening in this thread? Some people need to not be so obsessed with race, the thread was about a skin color of an ANDROID because it looked different in a new image.

If a character's skin was made darker than the source material, I wonder if it would still be no big deal.

if It was 2B and they changed her skin to black for this, this forum would be full of outrage

It would be a big deal if it's an established character, but considering 2P is not real a character before FFXIV, then it doesn't matter either way.

The irony of their "If 2B was made black, everyone would be mad!" proclamation is that 2P IS just 2B made black (or I guess tan but who cares) and everyone loved it.

Without wading into this quagmire, I'd just like to point out that you are having a heated politically-laden debate over the perceived HSL value of a digital asset's skin texture, as depicted by a 3D render's green-screen 2D screenshot utilised to make a promotional page look fancy. There is still no reason to believe that the (most likely edited for visual clarity) render indicates any sudden changes to the art assets we will see in game in slightly over a week, especially given that we saw said asset's probably latest and most final iteration in the most recent gameplay trailer n_n

I repeat: gameplay trailer. As in... recorded in the actual game engine. The same that the game runs on. The game that we play. The one and only thing that matters in this context... at least one would think it should...?
