Pretty sure there is bunch that misses it each time. Like those that's running duties at the time or not login yet. Pretty sure large fc would help ones in it if they needed it.

I stopped doing hunts - I would get the ping say I was omw and would be dead before I get there with folks just saying 'get a better pc' - I play on ps4 >.<

There's been instances of certain individuals coming in from cross-world to deliberately pick off our hunts on a fairly regular basis.Again, the chances of that scenario actually happening is low. ARR S ranks have been called for on Cactuar and killed by the players on a regular basis. And if a case like that happen frequently, we would hear about it a lot. And KageTokage can shed more light if this actually happens on Cactuar, since they're among the ones who actively spawns S ranks regularly.
Yes, they have a right to do this but I don't like the fact that by being the only privy to the knowledge of exactly when the hunt died, they have an edge when it comes getting the next spawn that happens.
Again, I feel like it would be reasonable to allow players to know when a hunt's spawn window is open at a hunt scholar so that everyone who's interested has an equal chance of getting to it.
Hunts should just use the fate system so they always maintain a slight edge in their difficulty instead of just becoming trivial by the time a new expansion/new gear rolls around.
Howsabout we just get rid of Allied Seals, make all hunts reward Centurio Seals, and lower the cost of the Grand Company Elite stuff to reflect its status as glam gear(Or better yet, move the Elite stuff to the GC vendor for GC seals)
I have to say, one of the most annoying situations to be in is having hunt trolls from other servers just hovering around like a bunch of vultures waiting for me to hit an unspoiled node to spawn something because they can't due to the cross-world restrictions.
Granted, I can just hold the node forever until they leave, but I'd rather not be forced into such a predicament.
I'd welcome anything to discourage people from soloing older hunts at this point or at least to buy time for the ones who actually spawned it to arrive.

Worth noting with the 5.1 announcement for Fellowships, the claim that they don't intend for us to or realize that we relay hunts, is now false. They've clearly acknowledged it's a thing.Fellowships offer a new way for adventurers with common interests to band together. Join up to 10 fellowships on your data center, or make your own and invite up to 1,000 players. Use them to announce community events, recruit for raids and dungeons, relay information to track down elite marks, and more!
Hunts definitely need some changes. I’m not sure immunity or something like that is the answer, but I do feel your pain, and I even people who have helped spawn something have gone afk for a couple mins come back and missed a kill.
Hunts are a mess right now, I don’t know a good fix for it, but it needs some major changes

I don't think a message board system is going to be more efficient than a linkshell or discord with live chat.
Perhaps for planned hunt spawning or trains, but not for "Oh hey an S rank spawned <flag> come get it!"

I wouldn't be against making them into FATEs though that seems a bit too...ambitious for what the devs consider to be dated content.
I do feel like something needs to be done to ensure that the spawner of the hunt actually has a chance to reach it and get credit considering how difficult some of the spawn criteria can be.
Even something simple like delaying a S rank's actual spawn and instead making some kind of marker like fresh footprints show where it's going appear, then have it show up five minutes later or some such would be nice.
