I don't know why...But this trailer just didn't excite me. Like...I actually have no interest in this and it makes me sad.

Not to mention a lot of what's shown probably won't even be released on the 29th and will be a half patch release. (5.11, 5.15, etc)

Not trying to be a negative nancy. Just kind of venting.

So you didn't like the ShB story and have no interest to see how it continues? Maybe you should become a cutscene skipper moving forward.

I don't know where you got that from...I did love the story. It was one of the best FF stories I've played in a VERY long time.

We're in the 'quiet period', I suppose. I don't expect anything utterly groundbreaking to happen until 5.3. 5.1 and 5.2 will be laying the groundwork for the finale of Shadowbringers and then 5.4 and 5.5 will be build up for 6.0. There will be intriguing elements across the board but the payoff will take some time to manifest, especially since each patch moves the story forward by a bit then ends with a teaser. That's how I see it, at any rate.

I'm looking forward to Estinien's crazy dragoon jump, personally. lol

Also, glad G'raha is saying he wants to make sure he doesn't die, but I also am getting kinda more and more nervous every time the story mentions him possibly dying or what the consequences of his death would be... >_>

Anyway, wonder who he's revealing the truth of the source/shards/calamities to? Lyna? I somehow doubt the new fairy needs to be told and G'raha (and the others) seem to be pretty sure that the average person on the First is better off not knowing about them. I could see him telling Lyna since she's basically his family, and he really should tell her his origins at some point now that it doesn't have to be kept from her.

Also, G'raha back in trusts! Yay! Maybe he'll get added to the system now. lol

Yorha raid looks cool and looks like it might indeed be giving us more on the ancients. I'm guessing a different city-state than Amaurot, but maybe not.

    More ShB story? I'm hype.

EDIT: Oh, right, also Ishgard rebuild yay! I... really should level a crafter to actually participate in that. >_> But still.

Since they mention a Nu Mou lives in the new dungeon, and said dungeon is called Grand Cosmos, there can be only one person. Ezel Berbier, from the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games.

Please stop right there!* We don't need a second Haurchefant!

I hope SE and their writers don't even think of killing him. Repeatedly killing favourite characters in a story is a sign of very bad, uninspiring writting - and Ms Ishikawa hasn't given me the impression she would do it. Especially now that we can travel through space and time, killing him, instead of changing his fate like he changed ours -we do recall that part, right?- would be completely and utterly unacceptable.

[* Note: the yelling was not addressed to you, please don't take it personal. It is just that I find outrageous the possibility SE writers might kill him to cause emotional burst. G'raha deserves a happy ending story.]

On topic, I'm very glad he returns to the Trust system. Now, if they made him a regular like the Scions that would be something.

All in all, it was about time the story moved forward, I'm quite curious to see how it unfolds. I'm also curious and interested in the new Alliance raid.

Extreme and Ultimate are not for me, so my very best wishes to those who enjoy them and will attempt to be the first to succeed.

They could kill 1st G'raha but then awaken Source G'raha and sort of have a bittersweet ending with one G'raha dying(probably to save everyone) but give the knowledge the other G'raha will never have to go through what the 1st G'raha did.

Actually this time around there seems to be very little for the additional patches. Based on the live letter the only thing slated for 5.11 is the Restoration of Ishgard and 5.15 is the new PvP map. Aside from that the only other thing we can expect to be delayed reasonably is Ultimate, but that's because it is always with the x.x1 patch since SE doesn't want to make people feel rushed with the new story stuff. That's not to say other things won't be delayed, things happen and game development is not always an exact science.

I get that. It just always irked me how they show all of what's to come in a trailer only to release it in bits to strech out the content for that patch. Them worrying about people rushing shouldn't be a concern because most of the stuff that is released can be finished in a few hours. The story patches are usually only about an hour to 2 hour's worth of content. And raids can be finished within a few hours depending on the party. I feel like that's why they put weekly caps on stuff.

And I'm not one of those people who rush through things either. It took me 3 weeks to finish all of ShB just because I was taking it all in and trying to finish things before the end of the game. But honestly, when I took on the Eden stuff afterwards, I finished all four normal trials in like 3 hours even with a PUG which is what I can see happening here.

I know. I've been playing since 3.0...I know that this quiet or "Lull" period is a thing. It's been like 3 months since there was any meaty content. If we're talking 5.3 or 5.4 for any meaningful content, we're in trouble. lol.
