There was a recent response from Yoshi about putting servers in Aus if they can work out something about undersea cables but havent heard anything since. I dont think the routing issue will have much impact since AUS and NZ pretty much shares the same cables. Also I have no issues playing as NIN anywhere in Japan and have no routing issues within JP. I am speaking from experience since I was recently playing from NZ just a few weeks ago and it does suddenly give me execellent latency with NIN even with inferior service (the JP connections at net cafes only give me 300 to 600 mbps while the nz ones give me 800 to 980 mbps)
